Comments Thread For: Shakur Stevenson Dominates Toka Kahn Clary For One-Sided Decision

LAS VEGAS - Shakur Stevenson, former featherweight world champion, is ready to add a second world title to his trophy case. First, he must get past Toka Kahn Clary in Saturday's 10-round junior lightweight main event from the MGM Grand Las Vegas Bubble. (photos by Mikey Williams)

    Stevenson-Clary headlines an ESPN-televised tripleheader beginning at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.

The 10-round lightweight co-feature will see Puerto Rican star Felix "El Diamante" Verdejo take on Japanese veteran Masayoshi Nakatani.

Super middleweight sensation Edgar Berlanga — 15-0 with 15 first-round knockouts — will seek to extend his streak against veteran Ulises Sierra in an eight-rounder. Sierra, from San Diego, has never been stopped as a pro.

I'm interested to see if Sierra can take Berlanga at least a few rounds.

Sierra fought Shishkin whose rated in the top 12 in 3 major Organizations and was competitive. So if Berlanga does what he does against him I'll be impressed

Oh sh^t just realized that Elvis guy is on the undercard here. Sh^t I think I'm more amped for the undercard (Elvis, Berlanga, Robeisy, Clay rematch) then Shakur & Felix fights.

Beyond that hoping Nakatani shows up & does more than give the guy he's supposed to lose against problems in the Main. Shakur is in a whatever fight vs giant dog.

I got money on Nakatani lol. Him being a +350 dog was nuts. That said I don't love that his claim to fame is basically giving Teofimo a tough time in a uncompetitive fight on the cards, but those odds are too ***y to pass on.

As long as we are able to see the workingman's hero, Clay Collard, it will be a worthwhile card.
