I’m a huge Shakur fan but we have to ask ourselves. If Tank at 23 and 130lbs was in there with his opponent, would he have gotten the stoppage? I’m almost 100% certain he would. That minus the Olympic pedigree and the discipline. Sigh.

      Completely different fighters though.
One has power and the other Defence.
I enjoyed watching Shakur completely dominate and when he learns to throw with more power then..........
Crawford mentoring this guy, well it can ONLY be good.

Oh I agree. It was a beautiful thing to watch but how can you not ask yourself to compare what you’re seeing to the current big dogs and the past greats that have come along. Most multi-weight division greats were sparking B and C level fighters at this stage. I’m not saying he had to knock him out but Toka was barely visibly hurt. And Shakur threw the kitchen sink at him.

I only bring it up because I wonder how he will fair against the bigger guys as he moves up to 135-140. He can be a great 12 round fighter with the elites...I think I just wonder why him and Haney aren’t sparking these B and C level dudes.

Shakur no doubt. 1 thing about it is for anyone around his same size or smaller skills gonna pay the bills vs power for the most part. The problems will come when he has to move up and start facing the heavier guys with power it's a diff experience like Broner found out when he went too far.

Shakur is weak he’s faced nothing but bums and just doesn’t look like he has it he’ll get chin checked when he finally steps it up.
