That said it wouldn't be nearly as bad if we had 18 divisions & 18 champions. Having 4+ champs per division is doing more damage to the integrity of the sport than all the weight divisions.
1 champ per division is ******. Imagine you’re a fighter trying to climb the ranks, deal with the bs politics of the sport, you now have to wait forever to get a title shot if it’s only being fought for a few times a year.
3 belts per weight class, your goal is to unify.

I'm glad we can all see how ****** and cringe this all is. There's definitely a serious problem in this world. The mission is to ruin literally everything and replace it with lameness.

Someone needs to find a way to get rid of this guy, he is like a modern day boxing pimp, just taxing all the whores for money, “b!tch better have my money (sanctioning fee)” LOL!!!

The WBC are getting more pathetic every day. So they're going to have another weight class but the rest of the alphabet commissions won't? WTF is the point in that? Nobody else is going to honor it and fighters in this new weight class will still have to fight as heavyweights for any other title. This is dumber than their franchise champion BS. It's obvious Suliaman just wants more sanctioning fees. What a weasel.

You do realize that for every ****** title, you have to pay a sanctioning fee to fight for or defend? Do you think young, up and coming fighters all have the cash to dole out extra sanctioning fees?
The point of a "champion" is there being ONE boxer who is the top dog. Having a load of world titles in the same weight class just confuses casual fans and makes it harder to determine the #1 guy.
I have no idea what you're getting at here. It's all about greed and control, nothing else. On top of that, each governing body has its own dubious rankings that do not reflect reality but I guess that's a good idea too.

I know sanctioning fees have slowed to a trickle but...

Imagine Monte Barret could have been a Bridgerweight world champion...

It's virtually impossible to unify all 4 belts with the bs mando's. And there is lil incentive to unify in general when you can coast for years & than cash out in your 30's with unification fights finally.

If there was 1 belt we'd see more top ten guys fighting each other to get into title contention. Nowadays guys just fight 5 bs opponents & can move from #10 to #1 in one of the ABC groups& he's proven nothing.

Why!, We already have a cruiser division for smaller heavyweights.
