But regardless if you had him winning both they were still close fights and far from “unstoppable”

Which has been the same story with the other two top fighters he’s faced in Jacobs and Derevenchko.

You could argue he lost to all 3.

Personally I had him beating Canelo and losing to Jacobs and Derevenchko but can’t argue with any of the decisions.
Lol anyone who has him 1-3 in those 4 fights, I mean they should just give up scoring fights. It isn't for them.

And seems like most people say GGG won both those fights vs Canelo, who was in his prime, and GGG in mid 30s/nearing 40. And Canelo is pfp number 1 for many.

That alone should give GGG major props. The knots people tie themselves in to slight GGG...just bizarre.

When you outland a guy by about 50 punches, and in about 9 of the rounds (as GGG more or less did in those 3 fights), I mean the stats back up the story that were competitive but not close as far as scoring.

To put it this way, if GGG fought those guys' fights, and they fought his in those fights, no one who is saying they were close fights would be saying that now. They would be saying GGG got dominated and lost all 3. Which didn't happen, they were competitive. But the point is that a lot of people see red when they see GGG, they don't analyze his fights well at all.
Man your score whacked!!!! Fkn ggg did NOT win every fkn round ******.

This IDIOT looks at compubox and bam there is his winner

Dude a fkn clown that would get knocked out at a bar with his ****** scores

Bro scoring fights is not for you....

I thought Moretti was being generous and GGG never won wide considering Canelo's tactics will be studied for generations from that fight!
GGG out threw & landed Canelo in every round but one in the first fight. Everyone with two brain cells to rub together knows GGG won.

            Poor argument.

Canelo lost to past prime GGG. Period

Nah. GGG just flicked 3:1 jabs missing. You're not going to hurt Canelo by doing that. GGG somehow forgot how to throw punches to the body in that fight, and it was nice seeing Canelo's defense having GGG miss a lot. It's a good thing Canelo didn't just flick jabs. It's not in his character. He tried to time his best shots while GGG did the same boring strikes on a loop just trying to look busy.

That was definitely a close fight, but how can you say robbery, when I remember you in the thread at the time, specifically saying that it was a close fight and you can't be mad that the judges gave it to GGG?

I'll never understand the logic of people who watch Ward fight Bika, Barrera, or Froch (or the Kovalev fights if we really want to go there), and say 'those were great, clear wins for Ward' when in reality they were extremely competitive, not much in them fights. Same for some people with Loma and his Campbell and Linares fights, saying he dominated those when they were very competitive.

But then those people say GGG and Canelo 1 was close. Like if that was close, then every fight ever that goes 12 rounds was close. He beat Canelo as convincingly there as Floyd did vs Pac-man. 8-4 all day, and any score much different than that is off.

As for 'ducking' Ward, that has been debunked so no need to get into all that.

Ah the old 'I'm going to change around my scoring criteria, because if I don't, the guy I like has no chance of winning' defense. Seen often in Canelo fights.

I don't need compubox to tell me that GGG outlanded Canelo in almost every round. I saw that with my own eyes.

Can you find me one round in either fight where Canelo landed 2 or more punches than GGG in the round?

There's no narrative by industry for any specific techniques or moments where GGG was looking ''great'' against Canelo. Find a boxer or trainer that was in awe. Most people say they didn't mind the Draw or it went either way. And about scoring, again, it was close, hence Moretti and Trella. GGG's compubox were horrid.

It's normal for GGG fans to get disgruntled because they interpret Canelo fans accepting the Draw per majority vote as a ''win'' which is wasnt for neither of them. That's the nature of 3 judges. Canelo didn't win the fight nor did GGG. I don't even mind if GGG had won. the nature of the fight said by everyone is that it was ''close.'' GGG will always be remembered to have underachieved in that fight by not throwing signature punches he was known for. Instead he just fought behind the jab while missing more than what was landed.

I mean the thread title is ironic...it's as if GGG was Mike Tyson against Canelo...
