All I'm saying is that the US media have tried to paint Pascal and Alvarez has one punch KO artist. In reality, Pascal got KO with his sneaky/awkward style and Eleider with his boxing fundamentals. Of course, fighting at 175lbs helps.

And being 36 years old, Alvarez probably has really lost his legs so he will either have to slug it out out of necessity from now on or retire.
As for Pascal, I wish my man retires already. Being my favorite hometown fighter, I'd really hate to see him get really hurt against the likes of Beterbiev or even Smith (who knows)!

Or to get a nice little payday in MTL (post Covid), Pascal vs Eleider rematch...
LOL too late for that! pascal has been in the sport a long time now what's one more big fight against beteriev or smith if he wins the wbo belt going to do? pascal has been on a nice run lately too with wins over jack and browne he can't just retire and not take his chances against a guy like beterbiev or smith. pascal would forever be wondering what could have been if he retires now. a beterbiev or smith fight will bring far more money and prestige than a pointless rematch with alvarez. pascal has faced everybody at light heavyweight except beterbiev and smith.

        HAHA, same here. =)

I really dislike Alvarez for some reason... so very nice to see two underdogs win.

Joe has a ton of heart, and Povetkin has experience... both proved critics wrong today... and QUITE soundly at that.

Beterbiev would be in Smith face from the get go, pushing in and doing his demo derby thing... He's a sound technician in his own rights... Seriously, Smith doesn't stand a chance... The other thing is I don't think he wants anything from that either, like any clear minded human being would...
you are obviously biased in favor of beterbiev just like you are with other montreal based fighters. remember how you used to back chickenson and then he got slaughtered! anyways beterbiev can be hurt! he got dropped in multiple fights. smith has more than enough power to drop him plus he has an iron chin to take beterbiev's punches.

Then making it against Smith because he might actually win and the beatdown, if it comes to this, should be less brutal!

I'm fine with either match up! I like pascal every fight he's in is entertaining. I love him even more for exposing marcus browne!

I think his chin has been cracked. First time against a journeyman he lost to and then against Barrera.

I don't think that is the case. smith's first loss in which he was stopped was earlier in his career ten years ago. barrera did not knock him out smith got his jaw broken in the fight but he was never knocked out or even knocked down he has since returned from that injury and his chin has held up. the proof is in the pudding joe smith's chin is fine.

Yeah, I didn't mean he gets buzzed/hurt/wobbly, but he said it himself that in his first loss as a pro, as with the Barrera fight, he got his jaw broken. That made him more cautious in that fight. Anyway, he hasn't faced a puncher like Beterbiev, so we can't say he's got a great chin until he faces a someone like Johnson/Yarde/Beterbiev.
