Address you hypocrisy Canelo fans: Is Smith wrong or is DAZN wrong?

Time to address this Canelo fans, you can’t have it both ways! (even though you’re trying to.)

    You can’t say:

“Callum Smith is a bum who doesn’t deserve $5 million to fight Canelo and should take whatever he’s offered.”

Then read that DAZN isn’t happy with the opponent selection and say:

“What’s wrong with DAZN? Smith is a great opponent! He’s the WBA super champion at 168 and holds the Ring ****zine belt!”

I know Callum Smith is going against Canelo Alvarez’s wishes and I know DAZN is going against Canelo’s wished as well.

But they can’t both be wrong.

Is Callum Smith a worthy opponent and therefore deserving of $5 million to fight Canelo Alaverez (less than he made to fight George Groves)?

    OR

Is he not a name opponent who isn’t deserving of that money... which means DAZN is right in wanting Canelo to fight a bigger name for $35 million?

Deflect away Canelo fans, you’re masters at this.

(In case you’re wondering, I think Smith is deserving and should get his money but I do have understand DAZN’s point.)

You must live with your parents and not understand this economic recession. Bud and Loma don’t even get what Smith and Gallagher are crying about. But don’t worry... The main problem is Eddie Hearn not wanting to lose a British Champ to Canelo. He’s the conflict of interest at DAZN, trolling GBP’s portfolio.

    Say it with me: “P.A.N.D.E.M.I.C”

      It's DAZN fault..

Canelo gets the money regardless so he's bound to go for the lesser fighters.. no skin off his nose..

DAZN should have had incentive clauses which could amount to same in the deal.. should have been the big names like beter, the bigger pay.. smaller lesser names, lesser pay.. ultimately giving him the opportunity to earn the same..

They didn't so can't fault the guy.. 5m for Smith is decent money for Smith albeit the opponent.. I don't get why people sound surprised in camp Canelo wanting to fight monkeys for peanuts...

That’s not true. When Ryder started circulating hard for the fight it was fine. Now Team Smith came back begging and persuading GBp to give them the opportunity. It all makes sense because Gallagher and Smith know the heat they got for the Ryder fight, and with propaganda or realism regarding the pandemic, if there’s another spike of infections, how much long would Team Smith wait or anyone else? That’s why Team Smith are finally giving in.

You even see posters saying Canelo should now fight Ryder. Who’s going to argue about Ryder? The whole board acknowledges that Ryder did a good with Smith.

Fans are just being nosy. Ryder can’t get a premium like Smith for obvious reasons. Who gets to say what Smith deserves during a pandemic?

I think at 5m, Smith should snap whoever's handing out the money's hand off..

Ryder was the one I expected it to be...

Quigley also thinks he's in with a shout. He's the one that said there's 3 in with a shout for the fight...

Now Are all 3 getting played off each other or are all 3 serious contenders and the final choice will be because of the opponent and not the money?

Smith deserves 5 million. Canelo deserves whatever his contract stipulates since he brings in the majority of DAZN's subs.

I’m digging the consistency so far and I agree.

Give Canelo what he’s owed, give Smith his $5 million and let’s see that fight.

This is a very good question. It gets even more complicated with Steve Kim’s recent findings regarding what DAZN is “approving.” I mean at this global state of economics, why would DAZN even contemplate about particular approvals? Kim was even insinuating (cause surely he has insiders) that DAZN been wanting GGG.

All I know is that the most common denominator is GBP vs Matchroom under DAZN. So GGG, Smith, Andrade, BJS, Ryder... them is all Matchroom.

Then GBP at least attempted headlines with their own stable, Lemieux, Tureano Johnson... etc. Makes me think DAZN is going hard with approvals and whom is the influence?

These ****** threads again. These are very annoying garbage threads.
Man to me if you yourself are not willing to pay for fights,
why do you expect investors to spend their money just because
                  you say so?
                  Who TF are you?

I never knew: who is paying Canelo's opponents"... DAZN, Canelo, or both?
