Canelo just struggles with fast, slick fighters. Whilst I wouldn't class Duran as "slick", his defense was super elusive. I think Duran takes a decision.

Duran was great up to welterweight but he was never even close to being a middleweight. He fought a great fight against Barkley. I consider both GGG and Canelo great middleweights and think either of them beat the much smaller Duran and might knocked Duran out as Hearns did at 154.

Duran never beat another name fighter after this win, he lost the next two one being tko loss, this was not a prime Duran he was nearly done .

Iran was a tough B grade MW, whos claim to fame was chin checking Hearns and Tommy was a little chinney, other than that he really beat nobody.

Todays Canelo would mop the floor with both of those versions of Barkley and Duran.

What Duran did after that fight was not part of the question.Duran and Barkley both showed up to fight and people I get Nellie is the best of his generation but facts are first ggg fight lost his heart a little bit when he put the track shoes on and to continue to have him beating all these greats when he’s not a huge puncher so he will have to go twelve with these guys who fight hard bell to bell.Ginger boy slows down dramatically in late rounds Which would cost him dearly unless Byrd was scoring the fight.

I'd rather pit the Duran at 154 that stopped Davey Moore vs Canelo at 154 for a much better fight. That Duran I'd pick to win a decision.
