Why are UFC able to do shows yet boxing promoters aren’t?

I’m more of a casual UFC fan so I don’t know exactly how they are doing shows or what protocol they are following but...

Surely boxing can have shows the same way UFC are, right?

Because Dana White went out and did it while boxing promoters did nothing but make fun of him for trying something different.

Now they’re all planning to copy his idea.

I hate mma and am not fan of White because of my personal bias. But he looks smart and everyone else looks dumb here.

Well...Arum at least would rather spend his time crying about what Dana is doing.

What exactly is Dana doing that’s allowing him to stage shows?

          better business man. Point blank.

Plus if Disney/ESPN gives him The green light he can do anything he wants with the UFC.

I don’t follow it enough to know.

All I heard about was the private island idea and then I saw they had some PPV event.

It’s not on the “Fight Island”. Think the shows have been in Florida.

I’m the same as you though, I don’t follow it close enough to know exactly what’s happening.

In all honesty, no ****ing idea. They're running the shows in Florida atm same as what the WWE is doing. I dont see any reason why boxing couldnt do the same.

Florida have made sports essential from what I understand.

Think it’s as simple as that.

No reason why Boxing can’t do the same from what I understand.
