• Fought Clottey coming off a loss, and ducked foyd by backing out of the fight.
• Fought Margarito who was coming off a terrible performance and 1 fight removed from getting KO'd by Mosley. Wasn't a champion at the time he fought pac
• Fought Mosley coming off a two fight winless streak
• Fought Marquez at welterweight and robbed him in the process
• Fought bum ass algeri
• Was finally willing to fight Floyd after floyd had two tough fights with Maidana
• Fought paper champ jessie vargas
• Horn was a cherrypick gone wrong
• Fought Broner coming off of 2 fight winless streak
• Fought Thurman who almost got KO'd by Lopez in the previous fight coming off a 2 year layoff due to injuries.

Yes, thurman was no1, he had the resume, not just eye test like spence and thurman who won't fight each other. When you've got resume, the points are in the bag, eggs are in basket, thurman earned his spot.
So what if he had lay off, floyd took 18 months off at a time, and all fighters have injur ys of some sort. Pac had injury against floyd and you don't want to downgrade flouds win.
