    Was Guillermo Rigondeaux overrated?

After watching a video about him in early 2017 on BoxingLegendsTV, I became convinced that Rigondeaux was a top P4P boxer and perhaps an ATG. He seems to have since become almost a no-name except with the most serious boxing fans.

What happened to his career and what went wrong? Did chasing greatness above his weight class ruin his chance at greatness?

Because he looks borderline unbeatable at his best at 122. Nobody will fight him because of it. Southpaw, amazing defense, reflexes, amazing footwork, speed, and real power.

He’s an ATG at 122 and with his skillset, he’s hard to see losing against a lot of the mexican fighters there or come forward guys. The man has been WAY too good for his own good.

Loma was a literal giant compared to him. But who else could he fight? Literally no one else. Underrated if anything in terms of him being shut out of opposition. Fighting him is akin to career suicide unless youre already a big time fighter like Nonito was.

Amazing fighter. One of the best you’ll ever see do it.

He had a boring style and even his promoter hated him that was what went wrong.. he should’ve KOed donaire too..
but he was really good, i think prime to prime at the same weight and age he can beat loma.

118-122lbs he was the man even being in his 30’s when he came to the US. If he would of came in his prime, he would of wrecked all of his opposition by KO to.

The whole Rigo being boring is crap, he’s got a 70% KO percentage and likes to trade if you choose to fight him. That little
Man was a bad ass too bad he’s old as dirt now

A prime Rigo (and he was already on the decline when he came to America) at 118 or 122 would have been one of the GOATs in those divisions. A lot of people call him boring, but boxers and purists loved what he brought to the table. It's a shame he got here when he did, and then his best years he was avoided by the best.

He turned pro very late and hasn't been managed very well by Caribe.

He made entire divisions duck him.... Not his fault.

And? That has nothing to do with how good he was. Instead of watching someone on YouTube talk about how good he was, why don't you go back and watch for yourself.

What went wrong was Bob Arum and HBO not wanting to give him fights. He got with Al Haymon and PBC a little too late.

Great another 12 Legends456 threads on the front page... with some of them like this one being particularly bad threads. Can you please chill out man? You are almost single-handedly putting me off this forum along with all the gossip queens

10% of your posts are new threads and I'm not sure if 'Find all threads started by Legends456' maxes out at 50 or not. Yeah you have well over 10% of your posts being new threads I'm sure considering YoungBidness and MotorCityCobra's history max out at 50, And BigPoppaPump. Yeah.
