Well if the “world” wanted the Cotto fight earlier then the world should’ve put more pressure on arum to make the fight when he had both fighters or out more pressure on Cotto to leave arum earlier to make the fight after Floyd came back.

We all saw Cotto at the gatti fight to witness that massacre and afterwards arum/Cotto wanted no parts. When he really wanted the fight and left arum, he got it no problem.

Yes Floyd became the A side which begs the question why you think that he should’ve been chasing a Cotto fight when he had bigger/better opportunities in front of him? Contenders chase the champ not the other way around. You’re looking at this a$$ backwards.

It’s the same thing with pacquiao. Floyd proved that he was willing to work with arum to get the pacquiao fight in 2009-2010 when they had everything agreed upon except the drug testing that pacquiao ended up eventually agreeing to. The fact that pacquiao eventually agreed to the same testing that he refused initially, proves that it was their side who held the fight up. Arum waited until pacquiao was no longer the same cash cow on his own to cash him out with Floyd.
