Im not even sure what constitutes being a Star in American means anymore.

To me a star in boxing is one of 3 things anywhere in the world not just the US. And you gotta get all 3 (or 2 since DAZN has changed things a lil).

Doing good gate numbers. You don't gotta sell $20M+, if you do you are likely The Star of your era. Doing a mill gate is respectable. Doing $2M or $3M to $5M+ is probably the min level of having some star power.

Doing PPV & getting 250K to 300K+ buys in the US or 500K to 600K+ in the UK. If you do 1M+ (2M+ in the UK) buys you are likely The Star of your era or among the top 2 or 3 stars.

And the last key to stardom to me is commanding 8 digit purses. One time might just be a fluke or cash out so maintaining 8 digit fights from fight to fight is key. Anyone commanding $3M to $5M+ purses is on the right path & have some decent level of stardom.
