BOMAC (Crawford's Trainer) Exposes The Truth: Trying To Convince Bud To Fight Porter

    Wow. Game - Blouses.

    Maybe Shawn Porter?

“That would be good for boxing,” continued McIntyre of a Crawford-Porter scrap. “It’s doable, I think it’s doable because I spoke to Bob Arum not too long after the fight.” Arum wanted to know if Bomac was on board for Bud vs. Porter, and the trainer now believes that in 2020 a massive Top Rank-PBC intra-party clash could finally be fashioned.

    So now we confirm:

    - Al Haymon is okay with it
    - Bob Arum wants it
    - Kenny Porter wants it
    - BOMAC wants it
    - Shawn LATER said he's down to do it if Crawford is

    Crawford on 12/21/2019:

So everyone's down with it EXCEPT Crawford.

NSB, I ask. Explain/justify. Tell me why this should not be Crawford's walk out theme.

Let's give him a week to respond. But Porter's side has fully agreed, waiting on Crawford himself.

Bro he DID respond. That interview I posted was just last night. Kenny Porter was three days ago, Arum over a week ago. Crawford doesn't want it - and I want NSB to try to justify how that's not ducking.

Crawford wants to fight a major titleholder and at the moment Manny Pacquiao and Erroll Spence holds all of the titles at 147.

Bud's goal is to unify all of the belts and ultimately become the undisputed welterweight champion of the world. I just don't see how a match with Shawn Porter will help him attain that goal.

You're probably right. He doesn't get the right to choose. He is currently out of options. He was a damn fool for resigning with Top Rank in the first place knowing full well that they didn't have a deep stable of welterweights to begin with. Now he is running out of opponents over there.

Signing with the PBC is both practical and makes good sense. However, one would never know just by listening to some of these bias and partial dumb ass boxing fans with their deep seated resentment and hatred towards Al Haymon. They would rather Crawford sign with Golden Boy or Matchroom than the PBC.

This is the correct answer. You don't get to leapfrog the line because you want to unify. #1, Crawford hasn't earned it - I don't care what people say around here - and #2, Spence despite what he claims won't be ready for that fight without at least one tuneup and complete healing of whatever's going on with his mouth/jaw/teeth. #3, Manny is on the way out. He doesn't have an opponent and the rumor is that it will be Porter because Danny is tied up. If Manny gets the Porter fight and Porter retires him, then what?

Meanwhile, Porter's free. Crawford is now free. Do a fight in March/April. Crawford gets past Porter without asterisks, set up a Spence fight in October/November/December, depending on how Spence is doing at that time. If Spence isn't ready, Thurman should be by then - and Spence would likely have been stripped of at least the WBC. Which allows Crawford to fight for the vacant shot.

That's the best scenario I see here. Not him jumping to the top of the line just because and whining about Manny and Spence. Going after Manny is a blatant cash out, win OR lose, going after Spence fresh off a potentially career ending accident instead of going after the guy who gave prime Spence all he could handle?

Do you people not understand how much that would elevate Crawford from his current low perceptive status? If he can easily get past the guy that EVERYONE has struggled with? He should be chomping at the bit for that fight so he can prove he's not a fluke and - no matter what you say - EARN a Spence fight when Spence is ready.

hes the same as charlo though...charlo cant really sit there and whine and complain...and the thing is he doesnt really....he knows he just has to wait and be patient....he even said recently he cant blame canelo for not fighting him and he tips his hat to canelo and respects his decisions....of course charlo would love to fight him and the pay that comes with that....but hes realistic...

crawfords side...himself, his promoter, his network are all yapping and whining...if the pbc is willing to feed him porter than he has no choice ....porter is a verrryyy tough out....hes top level...hes a threat.....hes respected in the boxing world....so crawford will look very bad if porter is ready willing and able but he doesnt make the fight

The people at Top Rank like Bob Arum and Terence Crawford feels entitled but the PBC and Al Haymon doesn't owe them shit. So let then yap and whine all they want. It's not going to get them any closer to a fight. Top Rank needs the PBC. The PBC doesn't need Top Rank. You saw how last night Fox dissed Top Rank and the WBO again by not recognizing Bud Crawford as a welterweight titleholder because he is not affiliated with the PBC promotional company
