Agreed with everything else expect this, this is totally wrong. Wilder had offers that represents his highest paydays when those offers were made to him to fight Whyte. He ducked both offers for lesser paydays/fights.

Definitely picking him to beat whyte, which would be a better name than what he has now as a win on his resume.

Think it has more to do with Deontay Wilder's handlers wanting nothing to do with Eddie Hearn. Back in the day Eddie tried to say that Wilder had to fight a gauntlet of Dereck Chisora, Dillian Whyte, etc, in order to "earn" a shot at Anthony Joshua. Ever since then Wilder and his team have dismissed Dillian at every opportunity. Fair is fair though, and Dillian has earnt his shot, should have happened already. Dilian has literally been fighting to maintain his mandatory status for several years, while other less credible opponents get a shot at the title. The winner of Gypsy King - Wilder II should give Whyte a shot for sure. Don't see Whyte having a chance against either man, but he is a decent name on the resume.

I honestly wish Wilder would knock his punk ass out. I'm so tired of hearing about PED cheat Whyte...

Mee too. Whyte is so weak now that he shouldn't be taken into account seriously as a contender for top 10 HW fights. He can have a rematch or trilogy with Wach, and I am not so sure if he would winn all of these.

Because he's fighting Fury who is better than Whyte. Also, and more importantly to those involved, Fury is more lucrative to fight than Whyte.

The minute Wilder takes this fight it would be called a cherry-pick. When’s the last time Whyte looked good in a fight? Back to back slug wars with Derek, who stole my teeth, Chisora lol.

He's like Povetkin. Beating people on the slide doesn't force a title fight it forces holding place.

Whyte hasn't done anything to pressure Wilder.

As far as top tens goes, youse a ****** who picks and chooses who you acknowledge as top ten not a grown ass man who accepts the official ranking so of course Wilder hasn't fought anyone.

When Carlos Takam can be top ten because he blinked into position by official rating but Szpilka isn't because we all know better all you are is a pansy ass. Idealism like a woman.

When Wilder was genuinely chasing the AJ fight, Hearn was doing everything he could to use Whyte as a roadblock. This was before Whyte was any kind of mandatory, think he was #3 in the WBC rankings at the time. Wilder agreed to come over and work as an analyst for Sky Sports, hoping to hype the AJ fight. But what Hearn was trying to do was have a Whyte-Wilder confrontation, and have Whyte call Wilder out in the ring, etc. Just chithouse tactics. All the while in the media Hearn and AJ were claiming they wanted the Wilder fight. It is clear to anyone with any common sense that Hearn and AJ were trying to duck Wilder and have Whyte fight him first, whilst also making out like Wilder was the one ducking.
