Boxing needs to be like the UFC

One global organization recognized by the fans as the home of the real champions. Enough of these 3 wba belts and now 2 wbc belts the ufc have it right with 1 belt per division. That’s how you get fans back

That global organization must be a union/federation of boxers, not some commercial entity like UFC, Belator, etc. This union's primary roles are to rank fighters, mandate matches that ensure integrity of the sport, and invite broadcasters to bid for these events. Broadcasters in turn allow promoters to sub-bid for fights. This is the only way to engender meaningful competition like other regulated sports. e.g. tennis. It would eliminate boxer-promoter-broadcaster silos that prevent fights fans want to see (and expose athletes who hide behind "the other side of the street").

BTW, federal governments will need to pass laws that forbid promoter-fighter or broadcaster-fighter contracts. Otherwise the union will not allow events to be held in those countries.

That would help clarify the sport to the mass public but unionization would also muddy the waters for the more popular fighters that may be restricted financially compared to now

Yes, superstars would need to carry less popular fighters that present the biggest threat to their championship status. The competitiveness of fights itself would attract big money from broadcasters.

You do realize UFC isn't the only MMA organization?
          So it'll never happen.

That is what PBC is trying to do, except they're primarily focused on being an American organization. There are other basketball leagues around the world, but everyone considers the NBA the top league, and therefore, their champion is considered the world champion.

That is the approach PBC is taking. Conquer the United States. Establish yourself as the #1 league, and eventually, eliminate all of the alphabelts.

The sport's sanctioning bodies themselves have zero incentive for collaboration. e.g. lack of unified rankings.

Yes, they're not all completely useless; and the IBF in particular at least enforces their mandatory fights in a timely manner.

Imagine only following/knowing boxing as PBC. These ***er’s barely have a fighter in the top 10. If we go by the ring’s rating. It’s only the cripple Errol Spence in #6 and Pacquiao at 10 or something.

On a side note: it’s shows what a sad-shyte Haymon is when with the largest roster he can’t produce sht.

There will never be 1 Global Organization in Boxing with 1 recognized Champ.

Like mentioned earlier the PBC might be successful as being recognized as the only US Organization that matters and is able to establish 1 League With 1 Champ

But Internationally there’s too many Shiesty Businessmen & Money Hungry Sanctioning Organizations in the sport that it’d be impossible to have everyone participate under 1 Umbrella
