Comments Thread For: Anthony Joshua: My Style Has To Change To Avoid Same Result

Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua admits that he knew for the last two years that certain adjustments were necessary for his fighting style - and failure to fix them would result in a loss. That loss finally happened back in June, when huge underdog Andy Ruiz dropped him four times to secure a seventh round stoppage and captured the WBO, IBF, IBO, WBA heavyweight titles.

... "But sometimes when the tools in your military box, in your army box, are working and you're slaying the division, sometimes you don't need to sharpen your other tools.

"But I've been saying it for two years. That's why I say now, I go back to my instincts. My style has to change. If I want the same result, I do the same thing in preparation. If I want a different result, I have to do different things in training.

"Not change everything. I haven't got enough time to reinvent the whole plan and there's certain leaks that I've been saying that I need to tighten up on, but it's all good." ...

... What is he saying, in fact?...

How much steroids/hgh do you need to be on to get this "too much muscle" problem?

That's a problem I would like to have.

Losing weight is about AJ's stamina, but will it affect his power, or reistance? Can he dance Andy and get the boxing points for avoiding a war. Win a title in reverse gear? He's not planning on pushing Andy looking like that.

I know you are fragile Anthony, and you are worried about being KO in sparring ( again ) but, this is ridiculous.

Most people have already rote him off … fully expect him to get the belts back in style

If he was gonna change so much he shouldn't have took the immediate rematch imo.

                  Immediate rematch= just a mistake, a fluke
But now he changing so much without knowing if it will benefit him or make things worst.

                  Its gonna be very interesting!

Well i'm inclined to agree with this, he even says I don't have enough time to change everything. I mean to be fair, it's not really his style he has to change, it's his punch resistance

If he can take Andy's hooks, I think he breaks him down and knocks him out. If he can't...then it's a repeat of last time. He's not going to avoid his punches all night!

I can't wait to see it! My first live boxing match too
