To be honest and not taking anything away from Ortiz

You were still out of it 2 minutes after standing! So your next fight should be against someone like Tony Tubbs, James Quick Tillis etc. someone your own age.

Perfect stoppage. Got up after the count of 10 and still wasn’t of sound mind. I mean the interval would have done him good but it would have only be a matter of time. He can now retire gracefully. I just hope he got paid 7 millions dollars for real, and it isn’t just a PBC propaganda with his real guarantee at 1.5m, he had PBC on his shorts, so maybe that counts for extra dollars.

        It was 10.

of course, rd had ended, and he did recover after his first KD in their first fight.
Maybe in NY they'd have given him that extra time at the start of the next rd.

Does anyone have a sneaky su****ion that if Wilder went down, count would have been a bit slower and ref would have asked him to take a couple of steps etc.

True, ortiz could get hurt, but anyone is one only one punch away from getting hurt against wilder, and so could wilder get hurt. So best not get in ring in first place, or better still why not just ban.boxing instead.?
I think it’s easy for us watching over a tv to feel some type of way. I’m not sure if you’ve ever looked at someone face or eyes when they have been knocked out or down in real time..the eyes don’t lie fam, bayless has seen that look enough to know if. Ortiz lives to see another day

If you look at Wilder's corner they did not cheer the knockdown, they were screaming to the ref to call it off, then cheered when he did.

Ortiz got up in time, Bayless didn't even look into his eyes before waving it off.
Watch it again man. All respect to Ortiz (I luv him as a fighter) but, he didn't know where he was when he got up. He straightened up at 10. It would have risked injury for no reason to let it go on. Ortiz needed many minutes (during the celebrations) to get his wits. It would have been target practice to let Ortiz continue and he didn't even know what had happened.

Of course as a fighter Ortiz wanted to continue, he's a go out on your shield kind of guy, but really ..... it was over. I'm sure his wife and kids sitting there didn't want to see what would happen with him barely even knowing where he was and what happened.

It was a good and fair stoppage.

It always seems fast when you want a guy to continue and battle back, but, that would have been irresponsible.

Ortiz can fight on, if the other cowards in the division will step up. He will STILL defeat most of them ... including Fury, AJ, Whyte, Pulev, etc. He and Ruiz would be a fight of the year ... even after the Wilder loss.

Haters always tryna hate. To answer your dumb question - NO!

AJ got extra everything when Ruiz finished him. He was an Olympic Gold Champion, and went down from an accumulation of punches. If Wilder was in Ortiz's condition, after a punch like that, he would be counted out too.

He'd have to redeem another day. And because the ref did a proper job counting him out, he would be able to recover and give it another go.

Y'all want fighters to get ruined because you're hating on their adversary. You need to get in the ring and work out that hate.

This shill seems to have forgotten how Wilder got that "exam" at the beginning of the next rd even though he hadn't gone down.

And again the round had ended. Could have had the Dr check him in the corner etc.
Was he stumbling, did he put his gloves up?
Just saying. Not the worst stoppage. But I stand by what I wrote in light of the things that occurred to both in their 1st fight.

LoL! Hahahahahaa! Y'all's hate is hilarious. You're ready to ban boxing rather than see Wilder win .... even a KO.

                      Hahahahaha!

I admire Ortiz, and he is still a very dangerous guy for anyone. But that fight was over. I don't like Bayless either. But that fight was done right.

Must be racism. Don't make sense to hate on Wilder like that. What'd he do to you?
