Compubox is not to be trusted, was never that accurate.

3-3-1 even in overall punches landed. 5-1-1 Ortiz in power punches landed.

Compubox should be scrapped..... tells you nothing about what actually happened, just like the judges scorecards.

Wilder played with Ortiz..... carried him into the 7th round and knocked him out without breaking a sweat.

          Very interesting......

Did you actually see the fight though? it was Wilder adopting the very same tactics as the first fight..... keep range and wait for Ortiz to tire or get careless...... utterly dreadful performance from Ortiz who did not pressure or trouble Wilder once.

Wilder could have boxed like that for 30 rounds.

Yes, I know compubox is basically an inexact science of a couple guys clicking buttons; but even if somewhat off the picture painted here does represent what was going on.

Look at rounds 1-6, Ortiz landed 20 total power punches to Wilder's 8. Even allowing for a 15% margin of error that still gives Ortiz less than 4 non-jabs landed per round.

Point being, that while Wilder did nothing but just flick his distance jab for 6 rounds, its not as if Ortiz put on this master performance that some have implied. Wilder treated the first 6 rounds as 'feel em out' rounds, but Ortiz didn't press the issue enough to change that.
