Can Canelo redeem his Mayweather loss by beating Ward

Canelo was a youngster when he fought Floyd. Now he is a big mature man and has doubled his powers. He can prove it by fighting and beating Andre Ward, the last slick American Great.

Yes but Ward won’t fight him. He’s retired

Bivol and Beterbiev would be better wins than retired fighter.

Ward says he is not coming back. If Ward did come back I think Canelo would beat him. It would not redeem the Mayweather loss or have anything to do with it. Ward is not Mayweather. Canelo lost a 152 pound catchweight fight to Mayweather when he was 23 and Mayweather was 37 and that will never change or go away. Canelo doesn't need to redeem it anyway. He has proven himself as a great boxer with a great career,

Them being the same race doesn't mean they're the same person. The more you know.

Why does he need to redeem that loss? He lost to the best fighter of this generation and one of the greatest to ever do it. There is no shame in that. His career and resume' post that defeat speak for itself.

And Ward hasn't fought in how long? Forget the fact he was already slipping as the injuries had caught up to him, but what makes you think he would be anywhere the same fighter after this long break?
