Damn, just saw canelo has a rehydration clause for this fight which means Kov struggling to make weight will be an issue. I thought Canelo was chasing greatness but not only has he picked an older fighter who's been ko'd a couple of times recently and just fought 10 weeks ago, now he hit him with a rehydration clause to keep him drained? Listen guys. I'm not a GGG fanboy. I'm a boxing fan. I thought GGG got robbed the 1st fight but had no issues with the 2nd fight outcome although I thought it was extremely close. Had no problem with Canelo winning. He deserved it. But all you Canelo fans how can you continue to turn your head to all this craziness with all these REHYDRATION clauses?? This is ridiculous. Kolev although still good but past his best years now has to be WEIGHT HANDICAPPED????I mean come on. This is out right ridiculous. Even if Kolev is okay with only being able to weigh 185 the mourning of doesn't make it right. This takes all credibility away from this fight if he beats a walking zombie. The guys already not in his prime why HANDICAPP him even more????? Come on Canelo fans. WHEN WILL you admit this is getting out of control.

You're right. It is largely meaningless.

That was the boxing media’s narrative and Kovalev’s bad english taken out of context. I’ve seen many russian interviews with Kovalev and he took enough responsibility for his losses. As for weight, I don’t remember Kovalev ever missing weight.
