    Greatest sonnings in boxing

Which were the greatest cases of sonning you've ever seen in boxing and why? By sonning, I don't mean to dominate the opponent in a fight, it needs to go much deeper than that to be a proper sonning. It needs to be humiliation on the personal level. Some examples of great sonnings I've seen:

Golovkin talked a lot. About how he would fight anyone from 154 to 168 lb and how Canelo was scared to fight him. Canelo moved up, spanked him twice, made him cry and leave the ring and then proceeded to go up and fight at both 168 and 175 lb, which Golovkin never dared to do. Now, Golovkin is begging Canelo for a third fight. This was a true example of sonning, making Golovkin look like a complete waanker.

Shakur Stevenson completely sonned Joet Gonzales, who hated him and wished him dead. He's just a kid, 22 years old, but he ****** Joet's little sister, made her support him against Joet, bullied Joet at the build up to the fight and then dominated him completely when they fought. He then went the high road, trying to comfort Joet after spanking him, but Joet was a bitter waanker. The sonning was just too great for him to bear.

Andre Ward dominated Carl Froch by using one hand and Froch has been bitter about it ever since, while Ward seemed to not care too much. Ward then got tired of Carl Froch's empty talk, came to UK to meet him face-to-face, inviting him to do so on Twitter, but Froch suddenly went into silent mode and pretended that Ward wasn't around. Froch was simply scared to meet the man he had been trashtalking for years, the man who beat him with one hand, it was straight up hilarious. Froch will forever be Ward's son.

Broner's sonning of Malignaggi was absolutely brutal. He came to his town, stole his belt, stole his girlfriend, beat him in front of his fans and made him cry in front of the whole world "don't talk about my sidepiece!", I bet poor Paulie still has nightmares about the day Broner sonned him...

So, come on, mention some of the greatest sonnings you have been a witness to.

Joshua sonned Wilder, made Wilder look a massive turd turning down 100 million, i repeat 100 million to get out of fighting him. I know the PBC Wilder fangimps try to defend that crap TILL THIS DAY. But the rest of the world shook their heads at Wilder. You cant talk your way out of that, especially when his next 3 fights wont even net him half of that combined.

Wilder knocks Joshua out doe, Ruiz showed that doe. Well then Wilder shouldnt of ducked, he should of took the fight instead of running off.

That's not really a sonning, that's just a bad business decision or, at worst, a cowardly act. But the word "sonning" is not synonymous with the word "ducking".

Rocky Fielding truly was a great 168 pound champion

He sucks. All 168 lb champs sucks. And yet, they were still better than the opponents around at 160 lb, which is why the coward Golovkin preferred to stay at 160 lb.

I saw turning down all the other 5 or 6 career high offers to face Joshua was bad business moves and cowardly ducking. Turning down that massive last one, an amount of money he will unlikely make in his entire career combined, just so he didnt have to face AJ, that was a sonning.

Luis Ortiz mouthing off that he was ready to fight AJ in NY, if they had the balls to offer him the fight .... then turning it down when Eddie Hearn called his bluff.

The only people who ever sonned GGG were those crooked Vegas judges.

There was nothing wrong with Ward's hand against Froch. He just needed an excuse for being bullied in the championship rounds.

That was massively embarrassing. Nearly as bad as the PBC fangimps on here trying to defend it and tell us what had happened was Hearn and Joshua's fault while at the same time we were seeing videos of Ortiz and his team blaming themselves.
