Taylor is still very good though - what I saw tonight was a better boxer in Prograis just being outgutted and ultimately outhustled by a guy who just refused to accept that he was outskilled.

You think Taylor had a different method to not get penalized for illegal shots than Ward?
Please tell me what you think they were?
I reiterate: this isn't about Ward. Stick to the topic.

Well he was in his home away from home!
Prograis showed he was the better boxer and talent but Taylor had the judges and ref behind him plus the crowd which Rougarou all knew beforehand!
The problem wasn’t Taylor’s physicality or dirty boxing but it was Prograis not following up with shots when he had Taylor hurt and was admiring his work too much!
In the last 2 rounds he finally started to focus on more offense and was battering Taylor and had him clinging on for dear life!
Prograis should’ve won the fight but Taylor showed more will to win and willingness to do whatever it takes to win and that’s where it came down to!

So if Taylor didn't have height and reach advantages it would have been OK to hit after the bell, throw some low blows and headbutt in there and the ref would be right to let that go.
