Comments Thread For: Luke Campbell: I Want To Be The First To Beat Devin Haney!

Luke Campbell says he wants to be the first man to beat Devin Haney. The 32-year-old British lightweight is well aware of the speculation surrounding a fight between himself and the 20-year-old American. And with their promoter Eddie Hearn keen to make the fight next year Campbell sounded keen to take on Haney when he recently spoke to Boxing Scene.

Campbell done well against Loma, but was never that close to winning. His experience would pay more dividends against someone as fresh as Haney, but he'd likely still end up losing a close fight against the young star. One way I see him possibly winning is if he can "old man'" Haney out of being able to do anything effective - like Burns did against Relikh a few years ago.

Luke is looking to get Duked

I can't see you lasting the distance with Devin because he would hit you with shots you don't see and he's a bit bigger and more than likely hit harder than Lomo but that's all objective, but skill levels are a different level as well with Haney being from another planet the way he has been preforming etc. I appalled you for speaking like you want it though!

Campbell would definitely be a solid test for Haney. Haney got handed his new shiny WBC paper belt now that Loma got the franchise tag, so hopefully he fights Campbell or at least someone of his quality. He might be young, but now that he has a "belt", he's not a prospect anymore. Time for him to jump in the deep water.

Let's get that fight on, if Haney can beat Campbell he would prove that he is for real.

would be a good 1st "title defense" for Haney since he can't get the fight he wants.

Please go away for a while Campbell, give somebody else a opportunity. Haney beats him and all we going to hear is “lomochenko ruined him, who cares”

This guy is so overrated, won a medal in Olympics but has done nothing as a pro

Campbell did well against Loma, but personally I think Loma carried him. I have no idea why. But there were moments in the fight where Loma would just stand there instead of pressing on. Loma didn't have his usual desire to stop his opponent in this fight... Would be very interesting to see Haney against Campbell, fighting Campbell should be a reality check for everyone who believes they can defeat Loma.

I can't disagree with Campbell. I belive he beats Haney! Like I said about the Haney vs Lomo scenario, Haney has nothing to lose only great experience to gain from either matchup.
