Those two fights IMO were. I want to see how Kovalev performs before I'm willing to say good job Alverez.
Golovkin never has. Not once. Despite his team bragging about it..
Canelo deserves more credit and praise than GGG in this area.

Also Canelo says he ate tainted Mexican meat. That's a believable explanation. If true he is not a deliberate, purposeful PED cheat.
Signing for a fight at 175 on its own is way more than anything Golovkin ever did to back up his team's boast of "anyone from 154 to 168."
Saul Canelo Alvarez can say he ate tainted meat all he wants. The fact that his trainer and chef are in the butcher business, leads one to believe that he should have known which meat to avoid.

We won't see the same size disparity between these two as we saw between Spence and Garcia. And if Canelo truly wanted to challenge himself, he would have faced a prime Kovalev when he was known as "Krusher". Cinnamon is fighting him now because he thinks he's old and faded. We all know that Golovkin's team made the bold 154-168 claim because everyone was avoiding him.

Being a butcher doesn't mean that you know where every restaurant or corner stand in Mexico buys their meat.
In any case Canelo fought even better against Golovkin when he was under 24/7/365 VADA. No PEDs were necessary.

Other boxers have made the same claim to have accidentally ingested tainted meat before, so the warning was out. So given all of those factors, how could "the face of boxing" make the same "mistake"? If you know some beef is tainted and your fighter is at risk, why allow him to eat ANY beef? You want to give Canelo a pass, but the commission disagreed with the "accidental ingestion" claim & issued a suspension.
He has never had a history of cheating before and as soon as this happened he immediately got on 24/7/365 VADA.
Given his track record I think he deserves to be given the benefit of the doubt.
