I give INOUE ZERO CREDIT FOR BEATING DONAIRE IF HE DOES

Lomachenko got very little credit for beating walters the guy that koed donaire cold. I see no reason to give inoue any credit for beating a washed up donaire.

Cheap. It’s you typical pacboys that say this stuff. At least Donaire was active with Burnett and Young. Top Rank had Walters on the shelf you can’t make this up!

You’re the same dweeb that said Canelo gets no credit should he beat Krusher.

    Just salty pacboys.

What do you mean Lomachenko got no credit for beating Walters? That was a hugely impressive win and had people singing his praises, that was probably the win that really established his P4P credentials.

Besides that, it's not Inoue's fault that he's fighting Donaire, it's a tournament - if fortune hadn't struck in the way it had he probably would have been fighting Tete instead. Even if a win against a faded version of Donaire isn't that impressive, that's only because he's had so many dominant stoppage wins over top fighters in the division, including in this tournament.

Donaire was/is a great, great fighter at super bantam...

... He was FOY back in 2013...

Gotta stop listening to the opinions of cynics so much, man... Walters was seen as a dangerous opponent for Loma at the time, even with the lay off.

This might not be the pre-Rigondeaux Flash, but he's shown that he can still hang with the top guys and the fact that he's fighting 2 weighclasses down from when he fought Walters at 36 years old suggests he was actually fighting well above his natural weight at that time (and Walters was a big dude at 126).

So sure, if Inoue takes it we're not looking at the elite win that beating Donaire represented for Rigo back in '13 but it's a long way from a zero credit win either... TBRB rightly (IMO) have Nonito a top 5 Bantam and Inoue (at #1 by the same board) should get the same credit we'd give any fighter who beat a top 5 guy in his own division.

While this is the kind of petty, childish bullish-t that you’ve come to expect from posters like this at least Satiev1 is willing to tell us up front his intentions.:

There are a lot of the Loma/ggg fanbase that is not going to give Inoue any credit either now that Cliff has elevated him above Loma in his p4p rankings.

The only real question is how far will they take this garbage?

Inoue isn’t with Haymon and fights at such a light weight that you expect only the scummiest part of the fanbase to really get too upset so it likely won’t get too out of hand.

How are you gonna give the guy zero credit for a win when you're not even sure he's gonna win?

Very unreasonable and illogical of you. Donaire is a champion at 118. He is rated 3rd in the world by Ring and boxrec. He did his part in the tournament. Donaire lost to Walters at 130 pounds. A weight he was too small for. It doesn't change him being one of the world's best at 118. Sure, Inoue will probably knock him out because Inoue looks like a great fighter who is unbeatable at 118. Still Inoue should get full credit for beating Donaire who is still one of the best at 118.
