Round 1 was clearly his as he landed like 4 punches to 1 as Loma was just feeling him out. Having said that - Campbell was competitive in every round except the 11th.

I think Ward and Bradley are just staying on point - trying to maintain the interest of the casuals. It's like the commentating equivalent of a click bait headline.
Exactly there were like 2-3 rounds TOPS that you could have given to Campbell but that's If you were being generous imo because Loma still had out landed him in those rounds.

I just thought the commentators acting like it was really that close was BS. It ALMOST makes me miss Teddy Atlas, he wasn't always right but at least he kept it 100 at all times

Difference here though is Loma was similarly, if not even more so, great and dominant at his natural weight...and what weight he fights Davis at would dictate quite a bit imo...if Loma is comfortable he probably schools Davis...Loma just seems to still be struggling against size, mainly height
I'm not slighting GGG in any way, just saying when the competition gets to the top level you cant just go in and blow guys out every time.

It seemed to me that Loma was waiting for Campbell to tire and stop coming forward, which only happened in the championship rounds. Pretty lopsided scoring.
I think I gave Campbell like 3 rounds but could see 4? He needed a TKO after getting droped

They're never fighting so it doesn't even matter.

I think some fans believe that great fighters need to constantly be at clear disadvantages in order to test their greatness. It isn't enough to just beat the best guys in your division anymore. If you're not moving up, then you're not challenging yourself. Fair enough, but it's the fighter that has to live with the rewards and repercussions. Loma's career could completely unravel if he moves up and takes a bad L, will he risk it for the glory?

You missed a lot again missing what experts told about, including Loma himself about tough fight between two Olympic gold medalists of 2012.

                  AMEN!!

Its as if you can't call yourself a great fighter if your success is based on physically being better (stronger, bigger, etc). Or we only call you great when you fight at less than your best, as you stated moving up to a weight you are not your greatest at.

If you can make weight at a given weight, and are relatively more dominant there then you get full credit for it (assuming you are fighting others at that weight). I don't think fighting at less than your best makes you 'greater' it just gives you another trinket or feather in your cap.

It is okay to be where you are your best. And be Great there

Gallant effort by Campbell, Loma different gravy though! Not sure where Loma goes from here I think 140 is a step too far and realistically there’s no more challenges for him at 135, I think he blows Davis out at super feather and can’t see Mikey coming down to meet him now either so not sure what his next move is!

Imagine if Loma tastes one of Gervonta Davis punches lol
