Comments Thread For: Lomachenko-Campbell Unification Fight Officially Sold Out

Having witnessed first-hand the electric atmosphere for longtime friend Oleksandr Usyk's knockout of Tony Bellew last November in Manchester, England, Vasiliy Lomachenko instantly decided that his 2019 campaign must feature a big event in the United Kingdom. Nobody trusts Eddie ***** and no other promoters will work with him or allow their star names to fight in the UK because of Eddie's non stop lies and corruption.

Good. When you get true super talents like Lomachenko coming to your country id hope tickets get snapped up quick and give the man a good turn out. I really dont see how Campbells got much of a chance but they have said that about many an underdog.

UK support top level talent from other countries very well. I remember how Davis/Walsh did a good attendance number and then GGG/Brook did good numbers as well as Spence/Brook.

That makes it even more baffling that UK promoters that sign more international fighters. They need to sign some from the next Olympic class.

So did they sell out the entire arena or not? I hate when they don't make the entire arena available and then claim it's a sellout because the allotted seats were sold. Its not a sell out unless every single seat in the house is sold.

I wish this site would pack in the US v UK ****. We are here because we love boxing. I hope US boxing suceeds over MMA and other fight sports because we will see great fights. This could be a golden era if the US (TR, GBP, PBC, MUSA) put on the best fights collectively.

Sold out two and a half weeks early. They continue to underestimate both Loma's stardom and more than that, the stardom of foreign stars coming to the UK. This is like if the UK had no Premier League and Ronaldo or Messi came. It doesnt matter if they only sell 2k in the US, the UK will come out in 30k or 40k to see the stars they never get to see.

Every foreign boxer should be making their home in the UK now, not the US. Dmitry Bivol has little fanbase in the US, for example, and that's the excuse given why no top names will fight him. Put him in the UK vs Billy Joe or Callum Smith, he will sell 30k first attempt. The UK comes out to see the best foreign boxers because outside of a few UK fighters, they don't get to see that level of fighter very often. Dmitry Bivol should have moved to the UK, not to LA, and that goes for many others as well.

The whole arena is available, its just a question of how many tickets Hearn held back for whales or whatnot like most promoters do. On fight night all 20k will be sold out. Right now, all tickets available to public are sold.
