IF he went up to 160 to fight GGG, the betting odds would not be worse than in Pac fighting him
That would have been like Leonard fighting Hagler .

Leonard fought Hagler and was 3-1 underdog going in the week of the fight .
He was also off for years .
That would be like Floyd coming back now and fighting someone and be a 3-1 underdog.
No matter what weight division .
Floyd has never been 3-1 underdog EVER.
Pac and Hopkins have been .

I don't think he was a cherry picker per se. I think he looked at the situation with Golden Boy and how he felt he wasn't being compensated commensurate with his skills and then became very strategic as to how he selected his opponents to shift the dollars in his favor.
I think he woke up and realized that the game had changed so that compensation was no longer based on merit and responded accordingly.

Take it for what it's worth.*
Floyd Boys get the sniffles that there isn't more widespread respect for the resume post Oscar, but fear not Floyd Boys. For your never ending loyalty Floyd has free tickets for you for his next sideshow, um I mean boxing match.
You want to do some research? Google Floyd cherrypicking and see what happens.
Anyways don't worry Larry. Dunn, Iron Dan, and the rest of the Floyd Boys will help you dig up old posts of mine. Lol.Last edited by djtmal; 08-09-2019, 05:59 AM.
