There will be a Pac/Mayweather rematch, they’re just trying to hype it up, marinate it a little longer to generate more money. That’s why Mayweather went to the Philippines to see Pac and they met again in Japan. It was already planned, even Broner believes they will fight again. Why not? They will make a lot of money again, what’s wrong with that?

It would not look good in the record books that his undefeated record was marred by breaking Rocky Marciano's undefeated record of 49 wins by getting his 50th and final win against a non boxer(McGregor) with a professional boxing record of 0-0!
Years from now, historians would always put an asterisk on Mayweather's record because of that and try to belittle his accomplishments.
Another win over his greatest rival in this era and an 8 time division champion and current WBA welterweight titleholder like Manny Pacquaio for his 51st win to maintain his undefeated record would count a lot in the rankings of all time best fighters in boxing.
And just look at the fighters marciano fought, T.B.E.'s resume shets all over marciano's, it isn't even close.
Historians Don't Know Shet Bout Boxing either, they all have their favorites....

That is what an older veteran will do for you. Knowing that he couldn't maintain the pace he had during his younger years throughout the bout, Pacquaio deliberately set the offensive pace and dominated in the early and late rounds while using the middle rounds to rest.

He won it clear. There was absolutely no controversy. No one had it for Thurman not even Thurman felt he won.
My comment about him looking 40 had nothing to with the outcome of the fight, it had to do with him slowing down, getting tired, reduced output, & lack of ability to move his legs to get outta harm's way - characteristics of a 40year old fighter .
By that point in the fight he already had enough rounds in the bag plus the kd to get the W.
Thurman had all the advantages in this fight: youth, power, size, movement, & wayyyyyy less mileage. He just wasn't good enough
