Why do people rate Canelo's resume so high, even relative to GGG's?

Boone who had 17 career losses at the time. Monroe sucks his best win is what Gabe Rosado? Trout best win over Cotto now don't count he was washed up yet went on to beat Sergio the lineal MW and Geale (your bogus GGG listed top win) after losing to trout and winning 2 more world titles while Monroe hasn't beaten anyone as good as Geale EVER. This is lunacy pretending Monroe is in Cotto or trouts class. Old Cotto is still a million times better then never was Monroe. Old Cotto beat Geale worse then GGG did LMAO
Lol...yeah I am aware of Darnell Boone and his W over Monroe....I would call Boone a lot of things but bum is not one of them...have you actually checked his resume/do you know who he is?

All I can say is imo Maravilla was completely washed in that fight...his knees were done and that was over a year after his fight with Murray where most people feel he dropped that one as well

It's funny you mention Geale vs GGG and Cotto...I remember see those fights and thinking 'man, Geale looks/looked way worse vs Cotto, what gives?'

    Then I realized:

"Geale looked, to the surprise of nobody who saw him at the weigh-in, like he had no energy.

Geale (31-4, 16 KO) got a taste of Cotto's plan immediately, as the Puerto Rican star came out and ripped to the body after the bell. He shook the Aussie challenger a couple of times in the opening round, and continued to have his way in rounds two and three.

Simply put, Geale did not look like he was in shape to compete, and he did not. After weighing in at a gaunt 157 pounds yesterday, he rehydrated to 182 overnight on the HBO unofficial scales, meaning he had tacked on a full 25 pounds. Weight advantage is one thing, but Geale's dramatic gain indicates that he wasn't healthy for the weigh-in -- which he admitted he wasn't -- and wasn't really in shape to take on a good fighter tonight."

So Geale drained to get down to 157 and had almost nothing in the ring...vs GGG fighting him straight up at 160...if you want to count those as the same guy in your world go right on ahead..people can rationalize whatever they want man lol.

and yet Cotto was the WBC middleweight champ, and he was fighting middleweight opponents..... but you say he wasn't in the same division?

      you are an excuse-making muppet
These 2 phuk boys can't even keep their excuses and stories straight LMAO

Must suck to be a GGG fan where all you have is excuses....excuses for why GGG resume sucks, excuses for why Mr 154 or 168 never happened, and excuses why Mr Mexican Style after all that shyt talking got his face broken and litetally ran from a Mexican Style fight...since GGG couldn't do it himself his fans be like

which is why that has been done so many times in this thread

he beat a lot more higher-caliber opponents than Golovkin

        /thread

also..... Golovkin has a HUGE list of opponents he avoided

give us that name..... so we can see how you roll

which one of Golovkin's scrubs could have beaten Canelo ?

we know that it wasn't Golovkin's BEST win, Danny Jacobs
Post your top 10 wins for each guy and I will be sure to oblige Mr Time

one of G's girlfriends says the fight with Cotto never happened because they were in different divisions.....

another one of G's girlfriends says that he would have jumped at that fight but it..... " never made sense for Cotto "..... which is extremely considerate of Golovkin LMAO

that means Golovkin's two girlfriends need to get their story straight

Lol man...honestly I appreciate your dedication to Canelo...but I don't really feel the same way towards GGG...I think he was great for sure...but I don't really care either way what most people think about him...I like to talk boxing though so it is fun to discuss different topics and see what info people have.

I will say that a lot of GGG threads end up with people who 'support' him just saying rather factual things and not really getting too worked up over it...and then people who don't like him or really adore Canelo end up getting really emotional...I mean look at that R Kelly gif you keep posting lol...I'm actually up early this am waiting on Wimbledon..what are you doing up though? lol

Cotto never fought at 160 I don't think? GGG would have only fought him at 160...doing that didn't make sense for Cotto...I mean come on man...this is not difficult stuff there...just following a bit of logic my man

Monroe has lost to every good fighter he faced forget has been he's a never was who lost to Boone before fighting GGG, Boone who had already 17 losses when they fought is no big deal but Cotto losing to nothing but elite fighters when Canelo fought or Trout being undefeated with a HOF win on his resume when he fought Canelo. 1 of these fighters is NOT like the others shyt for brains. And cut the excuses of Cotto being old after he destroyed Geale who you just spent pages hyping up as some great win on GGG's shyt resume. You got more excuses then GGG after a Canelo fight LMAO

And you really want to pretend anyone in this site is more worked up over this then you?

Lol...dude...I just in that post you quoted pointed out why Cotto's win vs Geale was different...he drained him..did you miss that part? sincerely

Boone KOed Stevenson...dropped Kov multiple times and possibly beat him...and dropped Ward...some bum lol...Monroe has 0 power so facing a huge puncher like Boone early in his career probably had him ****.ting bricks...but yeah a loss is a loss...but Boone is no easy fight for anyone.

GGG ran through him and the best version of BJS beat him 7-5 or 8-4...he has dominated everyone else he has been in with...and he is maybe G's 5th best win...and G absolutely smoked him...and there are about 10 guys right behind Monroe on GGG's list who are all KOed and all about the same level...hate if ya want to I guess but objectively speaking I think that's really impressive

?idk...I mean in my view I made a thread trying to generate a real boxing discussion...and then in my responses on here I am often times just trying to help some of ya out a bit with analyzing the sport and taking more than a cursory look at things.

I am aware that most people on here who dislike GGG have a real vested interest in not liking him so they do often get emotional about him/Canelo and him...but as much as I rate GGG I don't have a poster of him in my room...and I would bet a pretty penny that a lot of Canelo fans on here have one of those of Canelo lol.

So yeah long story short...I rate GGG but I also rate Canelo very high as well...I don't really get my self-worth tied up in my guy succeeding or other guys failing...I feel I am just able to watch the sport and appreciate it and analyze it accordingly.
