Well thats an order of magnitude difference so someone is waaaay off.
To those that say boxer X should do it as they would be well suited to the format are missing the point, you think Paulie is suited to bare knuckle?
Of course not and Artem is called the goat ironically. They sold the fight, they both talked a great game, there was beef bewteen the camps, they had support or at least interest from both sports and enough talk to get casuals interested, it was never about the quality of the product.

Bud doesn't help his cause by not talking to the media.
And for TR I don't believe they are great at promoting the "bad guy". They are great at that cardboard cutout nice guy promotion, but the guy who's a lil more thuggish like Bud or just controversial like Floyd they got no clue how to move them..

WON reports the early estimate of television buys was 18,000 in the US. It did very well on streaming through Fite TV.

They don't have a streaming fig, but it was considered a major success. A major success for streaming would be 10k buys and 25,000 would be near record.
This fight ruled the day on SM while there were both UFC & legit boxing events happening at the same time.

This one sold well imo because it was a fight that a lot of people in MMA and boxing actually wanted to see...that Paulie-McGregor beef was extremely entertaining imo...when you have two talkers like that get together, it is just fireworks sometimes...Lobov/Paulie was intriguing because of the Connor-Paulie angle and that's why it sold well.
If it's an exciting fight, fans will tune in...that is the case for MMA Boxing and now BKFC I suppose...Vanes and other boxers who need money will need to find the right matchup and as others said...they will need to sell it too...I just can't see Vanes or Matthyse really selling in BKFC...no one really wants to watch those guys unfortunately.

And Crawford/Khan also did well in terms of social media trends...And the PPV did not do 200k buys. Just not going to buy that number........at all.

But yea Bud IS the bad guy. He don't even like talking to the media ffs. You can't have TR promoting you like you are some SRL/ODLH type when you ain't that cardboard cutout "good guy". Bud gots numerous non-SRL/ODLH type situations that have come up. You gotta chill the eff out or you gotta keep that hidden better like SRL did a quite well & like ODLH did pretty good himself although I think he lived in an area where celebrity meant more to the media & fans so your failiings became public easier.
