Look forward to seeing how Pacquiao look vs Thurman

Pacquiao Speed and Quickness could give Spence Jr some problems too

Having Youth on your side doesn't automatically get you a win over Pacquiao, I need to see these younger fighters actually prove it and beat him for me to believe that they're better than Pacquiao

Not to look ahead because Thurman and Porter are dangerous opponents for Pacquiao and Spence Jr BUT Spence Jr vs Pacquiao at Cowboys Stadium is a BIG FIGHT

Thanks, Dunn, I couldn't make heads or tails about whether he was or not.

Yes he has, no need to lie. If you think it was because of VADA testing, that just shows how ****** you are and how you will shape your thinking to fit your agenda.

Manny lost without VADA testing. Likely because the other guy used just like him.

Floyd is the car of boxing but Manny is the one driving it!

              .WesternChamp.

Really apparently acc. to NSAC and Manny's manager Sean Gibbons, Manny Pacquaio is enrolled in the World Boxing Council / Voluntary Anti-Doping Agency (VADA) 365 24/7 program, so regardless of any drug testing agreements done prior to the fight, he is still subject to random drug testing throughout the year.

Last I heard Thurman was not signed on that program. So if anything it is Thurman that you should be questioning.

Acc. to the NSAC and his manager Gibbons, Manny has voluntarily submitted himself to the World Boxing Council / Voluntary Anti-Doping Agency (VADA) 365 24/7 program, so regardless of any drug testing agreements done prior to the fight, he is still subject to random drug testing throughout the year.

Not all boxers do that, but he has and always tested negative in his very long career. With random drug testing you can get away on a few occasions if you are lucky enough to have those washed out of your system when you were subject to random drug testing, but not long term like he has.

Of course haters will always find excuses, but it would be better to point the finger at boxers like Canelo, Jared Miller, etc. who have all tested positive for drugs in the past than Manny who has always been clean throughout his very long career and actually fights on fight night at or a few pounds below the welterweight limit(147 lbs) instead of going over that like most of those taking drugs would normally do.

On the other hand, beating Crawford or Spence would most likely be considered that.

What NSB does is lower the bar for Manny because collectively we don't like Floyd. That is why IMO we have so many fans posting that beating Thurman at age 40 elevates Manny. I haven't even mentioned his performance against Canelo at 36 years old.

There is a desperate attempt to make Floyd higher because he always is ranked ahead of Manny on every credible rankings of ATG fighters-and that was before he beat him.

Basically there is nothing Manny can do to elevate past Floyd. And that isn't a knock on Manny. At some point, like Floyd or hate him, he has earned his spot. Manny jhas earned his as well, it's just lower than Floyd's.
You are correct, very strong points, especially the one when you mentioned Alvarez. I often tell people, Floyd at 35 and a few years older was pretty damn good still. He beat Cotto at 35, Guerrero and Alvarez at 36, Maidana twice at 37, and Manny and Berto at 38.

The only fighter that was arguably stronger at 35 and up was Bhop. He beat Trinidad at 36, Oscar at 39, Tarver at 41, Winky Wright at 42, Pavlik at 43, and Pascal at 46.

By comparison, Roy Jones at 35 got stopped in consecutive fights by Tarver and Glen Johnson. Ali at 36 lost the 1st fight to Leon Spinks before winning the rematch and getting crushed by Holmes a few years later. Holyfield at 36 fought to a draw with Lennox Lewis before losing in a rematch and going on to lose against other lower level fighters as he got older. Sugar Ray Leonard was dropped twice and lost to Terry Norris at 34. Tyson got stopped by Lennox Lewis at 35. Chavez lost to Oscar at 34. Pernall Whitaker lost to Trinidad at 35.

I would defend Floyd publicly in gatherings and social events and point out how strong he looked as he got older. But I also think Floyd knew when to shut it down unlike a lot of fighters who get embarrassed.

Amazing some fools on here think that Manny was ducking Floyd.

Anyone that doesn't know that Floyd ducked Manny for 6 years is delusional beyond belief.
