Why does Canelo never mention Andrades name?

Im not a hater. I respect canelo and love his style. He is p4p 3 atm in my opinion. My question is why does this man never even think of mentioning demetrius andrade? Lets not forget 2014/2015 when he was canelos mandatory canelo ducked andrade. He said he was '155' then went on to fight for the title andrade vacated against liam freaking smith. Andrade is the only one now in the division whose belt hasn't been taken by canelo. In the post fight interview i fully expected him to say yeah we going for andrade but who does he mention? Freaking golovkin for a 3rd time. Canelo stop ducking demetrius damn it!

Because Andrade mismanaged his career through inactivity and can't draw flies.

He needs to get his name recognition up. Fighting Golovkin would be a good start.

Andrade is a housefly inside of "Canelo's" mansion. Eventually he will get the newspaper treatment aswell. Team Alvarez has no concern over him. Canelo would **** Andrade inside 5rds, Demetrius has no "pop" & Alvarez would walk him down

Canelo been addressing all year he wants all the belts at 160. He just recently said that Andrade has a fight in June so they won’t be Abel to make the fight in Sept. He contextualized Andrade of course.

Real answer: No boxer likes fighting guys that are slick and are movers. Nobody, not even elite outboxers.
I think he'll fight him before summer of 2020 though

I don't recall him mentioning Jacobs name much before signing to fight him. Maybe I'm wrong but that deal got done without public callout from Canelo, same could happen here.

I rate Andrade, I wanted him vs GGG this year not this Steve Rolls guy. But I think lack of name recognition and the probability that he doesn't make for an exciting fight are the main reasons Canelo would overlook him rather than fear of defeat. Andrade has the only belt left at 160, and there are no compelling/huge fights at 168 for Canelo, so Andrade is a strong chance of getting the fight next May.

... Canelo doesn't duck shit... he fights them only whenever they "make sense"...
