Canelo has this fight won before it started. Jacobs and his team crying about judges, got into his head at the weigh in, then the biggest kicker was Jacobs giving up a cool million of his purse to try and get a weight advantage.
Thought Jacobs was better than crying robbery after a clear loss but I guess not.

Andrade is a younger faster stronger and longer fighter than the ones that gave Nelo trouble. If Lara beat Nelo and got robbed like most believe, than Andrade is a very bad matchup for him because Andrade, a southpaw, can do what Lara did but with more power behind it. Would be a good fight but also has the potential to be a boring one due to styles.
I didn't watch the post fight interview so that's interesting to hear, thanks for letting me know. I will have to go back and watch that.

I agree that Andrade is a tricky matchup for alot of fighters. I don't always enjoy watching his fights but he's skilled and athletic.

It will be interesting to see what fights get made for the various DAZN affiliated fighters at 160.

Jacobs, in the post-fight interview, was asked what he had said to his son when the scorecards were being read out:
"Well, I asked him, 'Do you think Daddy did a good job?' And he said, 'Yes Dad, you did a great job, you won the fight.' So, if I'm a winner in his heart, that's all that matters to me. I'm a-go home and be the best that I can be."

Pulling on the heart-strings, oh-aren't-I-a-good-guy, it made me sick. Jacobs didn't do nearly enough. And his trainer, goddamn I will never understand how a corner doesn't give their a guy a kick up the ass when they are so clearly losing. Jacobs is a "nice guy" alright, ignoring the rehydration clause THAT HE AGREED TO, then post-fight saying, re:the rehydration fine, 'I got the short end of the stick but that's what boxing is all about, I make the sacrifice'... Cry me a river. OK so he survived, what does he want, a pat on the head? He bitched out in a weight-class that he should've outgrown already, fought like a loser, then closed the show with whiny-ass statements. His 10-year old son thought he won, but everyone else saw him bottle it. He never tested Canelo at all, he should recognise his place.

Danny seemed confused with Canelo's head movement and counters. He barely won 4 rounds and I really thought that he was going to do better.

No question about that. Danny was waiting too long to do anything cuz of the elusiveness of Canelo & the counters. Jacobs best bet was to be a weight bully & try to manhandle Canelo as much as possible & make it an ugly fight.

If you can't outbox a guy or even fully nullify him with your jab/reach, & I would hope everyone knew going in specifically Team Jacobs that they weren't going to outbox or nullify Canelo, you can't stay on the outside almost all night.

And I still don't get the desire to go over on the 2nd day weigh in & not use the weight advantage you paid a millie for. Either come in on weight or less to better move around if you legit believe you can outbox Canelo or use the weight to your advantage. Being over weight & trying to outbox Canelo is a 1-2 combo of ******.

The crazy thing is they almost f#cking won with that horrible strategy & if they've used a more favorable, sensible strategy I think they would've won. They only needed to flip 2 rounds on 2 cards to come away with a W last night. That said I didn't think the fight was as close as the cards say they were which is a weird ass thing to be saying about a Canelo fight where he won.

Jacobs definitely lost. The judges scorecards were a little closer than the fight appeared to me. Jacobs did very little of note. Alvarez had a very high % accuracy. I wonder of Jacobs started so slow out of concern about how much the big weight cut would affect his stamina; if so, he needs to move up to 168.

I dont like Canelo but he won the fight 8 rounds to 4 imo. Jacobs is fcukin delusional and a cry baby if he thinks he’s done enough to get the W. This clown has talked a lot of shiat and even sacrificed a mil to have a weight advantage but he looked gun shy in there and started slow.

Canelo is officially the biggest fish in this small pond. I don't see anyone else giving him any problems.
