Comments Thread For: Hearn is 'Gutted' After Wilder's Manager Tabbed Joshua For 2020

Eddie Hearn, promoter for IBF, WBA, WBO, IBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, is "gutted" after reading the recent statements of Shelly Finkel, the co-manager of WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder. Finkel made it clear that Wilder's has a full plate of fights for 2019 - and a unification with Joshua is unlikely until at least 2020.

The whole world is gutted Eddie.

How can someone say "One face one name one champ" and then walk away from a $120 million dollar unification offer??

The worst part is when people defend it :-(

sad times. I think Wilder will lose that belt before he ever (if ever) meets AJ in the ring.

It takes a special kind of being ******ed for someone not to see that Wilder wants no part of Joshua. He knows what's coming. Joshua might take it easy on some of these gimme fighters but when you are a big name you will go down. Wilder ain't no fool. The guy has given every excuse in the book. His handlers don't want any part of Joshua as well so this fight won't happen.

Barry said it initially and now Finkel is echoing it, this was likely always the plan

2020 is 8 months away. How exactly is that ducking? After Breazeale there may be an Ortiz or Kownacki fight and then hopefully a rematch with Fury. A Wilder/Joshua fight in the spring or summer of 2020 is perfect.

If that split isn't 50/50 we will never see the fight period.but that's fine they'll be okay without each other.theres plenty of up and comers they can fight

Why does there need to be an Ortiz rematch or Kownacki fight? If Wilders team really want it why isn't October / November this year perfect and do it next? Why do you want to wait until next Summer?

Think about what everyone would say if it was Hearn saying wait we're too busy lining up 2 other fights to make the undisputed fight, Wilders team are stalling that fight as long as possible and have been all along.

50-50 or no fight. What part doesn't Eddie understand?

Hearn's while strategy has always been to duck, then as soon as the opponent moves on, play like he tried so hard. Lol. Marketing to simpletons.

PS, won't be checking back for posts from Hearn ******.

                    That part.

Deyonce is never going to get 50/50 unless he beats Fury with like 700k PPV buys.

That doesn't look like it's happening any time soon.

Hence Deyonce does not want to fight Joshua to become undisputed champion.

Everybody seems to be ignoring the fact that if Deyonce were to actually fight Joshua and win last year then he would already be making $20m bare minimum per fight by now.

So this holding out for 50/50 BS is just a smokescreen to avoid the fight. Deyonce simply doesn't believe he can win.
