What's David Allen's Ceiling?

Originally posted by Eff Pandas View PostAfter this weekend's impressive W over Lucas Browne, that for me stole the show of all the fights on Saturday, I'm curious what people think of Allen's future in boxing with Hearn kinda working on his behalf to find him solid, but favorable-ish matchups.
Eddie even suggested Allen is potentially 2 fights from fighting Joshua if sh^t swings Allen's way with a proposed next fight with Price or Chisora & potentially a fight with Povetkin if he wins the fight over Price/Chisora & then potentially a title fight vs Joshua is he beats Povetkin. That sounded insane to me, but I think Price & Chisora are winnable fights for Allen & Povetkin is getting older so who knows when he gets old on fight night.
Who's the best guy you see Allen beating? Who's the best guy who'd favor Allen to beat?
Has he reached his ceiling with this W?
Can he become a top ten guy?
Can he get a title fight with Joshua, Wilder or some future title holder at some point?
Can he win a belt?

He was a fun guy who I kept track of for awhile, but I never thought his promoter would even be saying sh^t like he's 2 W's from a Joshua fight without a huge smirk on his face while trying to control his desire to laugh.
Clearly, Allen isn't cut from the same cloth but it seems like ANYTHING can happen in the HW division right now. It's the wild west. There's no Klitschko sheriffs keeping everything in predictable order. Just about anyone and everyone is getting a title shot at some point and it wouldn't be shocking to see either of the champs losing. I think that's why the division has everyone talking.

Has nobody never seen a fixed fight in Boxing, Allen vs Lucas Browne is one of them. Browne was boxing good to a left hook to the body stops him. Afterwards all drinking in the pub together where else would Browne have got so much money.
Fixed fight worse than WWE

It's all about timing. I dont see him beating Dubois or Joyce for a British title but if they both bypass that level quickly he might be able to win one. Same at European level and Eddie is usually pretty good at getting his fighters winnable scraps for decent titles.

Browne is past his best, and was never really that good to begin with, but he is a former regular world champ and has chagaev on his resume, and euro level guys like Rudenko.
For Allen this is a signature win.

Hearn basically said yes that's true if those three wins are Browne, Chisora and Parker/Povetkin.
So basically impossible.

But I mean f#ck man even IF Allen beats Price next, which is reasonable enough imo, & then beats Povetkin, which is much less reasonable, but lets be real Povetkin is getting up there so I wouldn't go so far to say its impossible that Allen could win somehow someway, I don't think he's getting a Joshua fight cuz the public isn't buying that unless there is some sorta setup where Joshua fights some for real guy in April 2020 & then fights Allen 4 weeks later in some Louis bum of the month reboot stay busy like situation.

Maybe British title level, depending on the opponent. Maybe even European if it was a vacant belt with the right opponent.
No way he gets to world level. I only see him picking up the above titles if it's a vacant fight, or some very beatable fighter picks one up and he gets a shot.
British title is a possibility because fighters generally vacate it to move on up the levels.
