Weight gamesmanship is one of the important tactics of contemporary boxing. If you're the "A side", you negotiate a situation that gives yourself a distinct advantage over your opponent wherever possible. That can mean a catchweight or a rehydration limit, whatever.
No way does Canelo and GB want to see a Jacobs coming into the ring as huge as he was against Golovkin.
Also keep in mind that EVERY SINGLE ROUND BELONGS TO CANELO unless Jacobs can totally dominate that round. If Jacobs doesn't absolutely smoke Canelo, that round belongs to Oscar and the the gang.
The judges got this.
That's the bidnaz, folks.

Jacobs 30 day weigh in vs. CANELO: 175 lbs.
Jacobs 30 day weigh in vs. GGG: 174 lbs.
Jacobs is on pace to be bigger against CANELO then he was vs. GGG. Remember Jacobs dosen't have to do the 2nd day weigh in if he chooses not to , he can just pay the fine. Either way Jacobs is going to rehydrate to what ever weight he wants to come fight time.
Plus you factor in the fact that CANELO is way smaller then Golovkin, Jacobs is going to have a huge size advantage over CANELO. Height , reach & weight & experience at 160.
Although CANELO is the smallest in the division , I think he's the best and look for him to shine in this fight. I see him coming in at 100% health & ring rust free. CANELO will show why he's the best fighter pound for pound in the sport.
Let's not forget CANELO beat GGG coming fresh off of knee surgery & a 1 year layoff.Last edited by REYESdelBOXEO; 04-06-2019, 11:51 PM.
