Wilder will never fight in the U.K. The baddest man on the planet has to be picky about his presence and Only blesses auditoriums that have nostalgic value such as the Barclay centre and the Bingo hall in Alabama

I was not really a Fury fan but he fought his arse of and won my respect. He beat Wilder and would be a problem for any fighter. Although what I didn’t like is even when he signed a deal with ESPN which is a clever move financially he reassured everyone concerned he had no intention of fighting anyone but Wilder so he loses marks with me because not only is he not fighting Wilder but he isn’t fighting anyone of note
He's fighting the kind of opponent he should be fighting at this stage of his comeback. He fought Wilder once, on a PBC card, before he was really ready, and I'm sure would have fought him again on ESPN if Wilder had agreed to an interim fight for both first.

So why couldn't Wilder agree to that? It would have made the fight bigger, and we would have seen them both at 100%. I can't see any reason why Fury should have to go straight into an immediate rematch, for less money, on another PBC show.

There is a lot more to being fully match fit than just being on weight though. Fury was boozing, snorting coke, and he lost over 100lb in around 6 months. It takes a long time to reach elite level fitness coming from where he was.

And at one point Fury said a rematch was being negotiated but then turns around and makes a deal with Top Rank in secret? Why would he be willing to do that if he had INTENDED on the rematch next?

            He wouldn't. Period.

Fury Is doing the smart thing and I have no problem with it but just don't act like he's not the reason that the rematch isn't happening.

GGG and Canelo rematched because they BOTH wanted it. End of story.
GGG and Canelo's profiles were are/are as high as they are ever going to be, and the interest in seeing them fight each other again wasn't going to get any higher either.

Not so with Fury and Wilder. Arum's plan for the rematch made sense to me, and to Fury. Like I keep saying, I see no reason at all why Tyson should have had to fight Wilder again, immediately, on another show promoted by Wilder's team, when he can get more money, and the time he needs to be ready, by going another route.

American fans love boring boxing to a decision style liar wilder. This is why Sprayweather makes 400 million every time he fights.

Wilder's credibility is shot, he got beat and turned down 120 million to fight the best...

BTW, Dominic Breazeale is a can.

Nah...Fury doesn't get the 100M unless he fights BOTH Wilder and Joshua. The financial windfall is overblown.
