Haymon benefits in 2 ways , His fighter makes above market value , it also hurts HBO/ Dazn because it depletes the competitions budget to make other fights.

Its a win - win for Haymon

He has no problem having the competition overpay for his fighters , Getting Wade half a million or Molina for 400k on HBO is the same as Dazn willing to pay 50 mil for Wikder to fight Breazeale and Whyte/Klit fights because Dazn is overpaying for what their receiving. Although if Wikder goes to Dazn , this seems to be the first case of sending one of his marquee fighters to a rival platform. But for 50 mil you’d be ****** not to.

Wilder would make ****** cash and that has to take a huge chunk out of Dazn budget.
Wilder is going over for the 2 Joshua fights; if those aren't in the deal, Wilder is unlikely to be advised to make the move at almost any price.

Wilder crosses over, makes his $100m to scoop up the belts, and then returns to Showtime to be on SHOPPV for the rest of his run.

Rotate the mandatories as they come due (and make DAZN/ESPN pay-up for each one-off mandatory with one of their guys), hope Wilder keeps winning.

... So far, I don't get what is DAZN's business model -- as i didn't understand what was PBC's initial business model...

... (In case Wilder takes DAZN money deal, I don't think he will be interested in fighting after that)...

No one is closing ears on worthy deals, but it's going to take a heck of an offer to get folks to make the move over when Haymon is still working with $120m per year to deliver 34 TV dates for Showtime/FOX/FS1 (break it down and you've basically got $4m for each Showtime/FOX card and $1m for each FS1 card) and 4-6 PPVs per year

DAZN is paying Alvarez $35m per fight, paying Wilder $40m for each of the Joshua fights, will likely have to pay Joshua at least that to fight Wilder, pay Golovkin 5 eight-figure paydays and $30m to fight Canelo, three 8-figure paydays for Daniel Jacobs that start with $15m to fight Canelo, and the rest of the deals that they've signed so far (Usyk didn't come cheap either).

They've committed themselves to something like $700m-$750m purses so far on 6 fighters (counting Joshua) over however long.

Now imagine what Jermall Charlo would ask for to get locked in, nevermind someone wreckless like AB.

A billion dollars for a dozen fighters maybe? And that's before Adam Kownacki, Joey Spencer, Ritchardson Hitchens, Efe Ajagba, Joe Joyce and other young studs come on form.

        Have fun with that, lol
Who said anything about Broner getting 100m dollars for 3 fights? Am starting to question your reading comprehension. Charlo is a promotional free agent, Broner is also. I would not be surprised if DAZN goes after those two. Charlo I wouldn’t be surprised if he is interested due to DAZN locking down the MW side of things, hence why BJS is moving to 168.

Broner is also a free promotional agent, he can fight anyone from 140 to 147, am sure he too would be interested when he sees what others are getting... Phuck even Mayweather might be interested at this rate.

This is why I mentioned those two. Charlo cannot command anything more that what Wilder would get at DAZN, nor would Broner.

I agree , I was Just referring to the article on World Boxing News that said the initial offer is 50 mil for 2 fights neither are AJ. Breazeale first then Wikder would fight either Whyte ( who I thought was now with Espn ? ) Klit ( I thought retired ) or Usyk

If Wilder won both then they’d negotiate for a AJ fight in 2020

I don’t know why that makes sense.Make it a 3 Fight deal , Fight Breazeale on Dazn if Wikder wins set up a AJ fight next with a rematch.

PBC's business model was pretty straightforward if you believed the market was there; Haymon was going to use his investor money to prove the market, to then receive a rights fee deal going forward (With Haymon's fee on the deal rolling back in the package to the investors as things continued on).

Front $500m (Haymon did get back all sorts of advertising/sponsor money throughout the deal, so not really sure how much on the fund was actually spent), and the deals with FOX/FS1, Showtime, and ITV likely brought in something like $100m on this first deal, with that and more coming in on the next deal, and the deal after that, and the deal after that, etc.

Invest $500m, wait three years for it to vest, and then get $100m every 4 years, for however long the world says two people punching each other in the face is ok?

Not a bad way to invest your money.

                    I don't get DAZN's model either, tbh.

Now if DAZN decides that it wants to sign the PBC to a long term deal then it would definitely be a game changer. That would put Showtime out of business.
