    At least Shields is right?

Look I'm picking Spence but he's not flawless and IMO the skill gap, albeit small, will show, he'll get hit cleanly at times. I know Mikey's been sparring lately with the big welter and the 160lb'r, and wouldn't be surprised if he takes early rounds.

Kinda counting on the pressure and body shots to wear Garcia down, and of course the weight. If Spence can't land clean to the head he should be able to find the body. Errol has got to grind him down and he's got to start as soon as possible. I highly favor Mikey if it goes the distance. And mad respect to MG for taking the fight.

As much as this you gotta wonder what does Mikey Garcia objectively see in himself that is such a difference maker in this equation??

No need to split hairs over Spence.

What is Mikey gonna do that he thinks is so special??

Move in straight lines and throw that mechanical 1-2 over and over and over like he always does?

This guy deserves to lose his 0. He's ******.

Speaking of perfect; guess who has to be perfect?

        Hint: It ain't Spence

He will be your guy again after Saturday too. Don’t be so hard on Garcia too he dared to be great and should still be proud of his effort. Even Tommy Hearn was knocked out in the 3rd round so he has nothing to be ashamed about

“Errol is a big welterweight and flawless as a fighter. He jabs well, he is a strong puncher, and he is an effective body puncher. Mikey is a good boxer, but not better than Errol. Errol is a big strong southpaw rarity like a Marvin Hagler.” - Ronnie Shields

Much respect to Ronnie Shields! Hagler did lose to Sugar Ray! Can Mikey be "Sugar Ray?" I doubt it, but salute to Mikey for trying! Can Bud be Sugar Ray? I think he could!

No boxer is flawless. I think the point they were trying to make is that Spence doesn't have any glaring flaws in his game that will be easy to exploit. He admits himself he needs to have better defense, but so far it has been good enough.

Those that mention Brook being able to land are ignoring two factors. Brook took a lot of damage staying in range to land. Brook is a lot bigger than Garcia and has good boxing skills himself.

Spence seemed to learn on the job during that fight, took Brooks punches well, and still threw 600+ punches.

I'm still not sure SRL beat Hagler, although I did win a bet on it. Hagler started too slow and allowed SRL to box him. SRL said himself if Hagler jumped on him like he did Hearns he would have lost for sure. SRL was getting buckled in sparring by lesser hitters than Hagler. He fought smart.

And that's the million dollar question? Is Mikey that smart? I know Mikey has a very high Boxing IQ. In fact, I love the way he carries himself both in and out the ring! However, I don't think Errol is as ****** as Hagler was! I used to love Hagler too! I lost money on him vs. SRL! I think Errol will go in hard from round one!

He definetely has flaws but you need to take damage to exploit them.
