Why would Fury do that now, after the fight has been finalized? That’s really dumb.

Now Arum kills the main competition to his PPV and takes a shot at Haymon who he hates like poison freezing Wilder out of fights. As fans it sucks we won't get this fight.
So true but I just don't see how this move helps Tyson Fury. Personally, I find it to be both quite baffling and perplexing because for one, Top Rank doesn't hold any of the title belts in the heavyweight division and lastly they hardly have any heavyweight boxers or contenders in their stable to begin with. Had he signed with either Matchroom Sport or the PBC, then it would have been more understandable, since they hold all the cards, titles and fighters at heavyweight but not Top Rank.

I agree. So who is he going to fight now at Top Rank because they hardly have any heavyweights in their stable in the first place?

          Also Joshua is with dazn.

The Heavyweight division has just entered a new ice age if you ask me.
Also doesn't SHOWTIME own the rematch rights?? This fight is off. I can't see this fight happening anymore.

Tyson Fury is and always has been a prick. Never understood fools who were fans of him. His nature is to spoil everything.
He doesn't want to fight Wilder.

              However.

In doing this now, with the Wilder rematch almost secure, it tells me that Fury is ducking the rematch, the same way he ducked Wladimir, Fury knows he could get ser hurt in a rematch, and that could hurt his ability to earn, in going to ESPN, which has no heavyweights, Fury can fight parade of overmatched opponents, make a ton of money, and easily transition into sports television.

The good news, is that Joshua/Wilder, just got alot more possible, not right away, but this year.
Yeah I agree this looks like a duck move. Maybe he realized those knockdowns hurt. And can't last another 12 without getting caught. This makes ZERO sense???

And why give up more $$$$ to another promoter?

It benefits Fury if Arum guarantees him a boat load of money that's it. Arum overpay to get him on ESPN and away from fights with his rivals get Wilder/Fury out of NYC which was direct competition to his first ESPN PPV with Crawford/Khan. It sucks because we probably going to get shyt fights because Top Rank has NOBODY worthwhile to face him. Fury getting paid huge for mismatches he probably doesn't care. Fans get screwed. Arum just took a big chess piece off the board in his war against Haymon.

Cong**** to Fury I always root for fighters to get the most money Possibly! As for the Wilder rematch, it is still possible lets slow down and see what happens. Why would anybody be Happy and root for Wilder vs Fury II to NOT happen and claim to be a "Boxing Fan"

Well, I guess we found out why the fight wasn't signed after all. Someone is chicken.
