This is a money grab. Plain and simple.
Explains why fury was asking for a cash offer from Hearn. So he could use it in negotiations with espn.

And for those claiming this is a duck, have a seat. There’s nothing wrong with fury trying to secure his future. It also forces wilder to acknowledge fury as someone deserving more than he was probably getting offered. It gives fury a few more chips to bargain with.
Fury-wilder 2 can still happen. Wilder just can’t claim he’s the clear A side anymore. He has no official contracts with any network, and it would be bad business to sign him now. He doesn’t have long term viability or potential.

To get Fury the 18 mil avg Wilder needs around 21 -22 to the proper mandated %. The fight will be bigger then the first but that did what 325k that’s something like 20 mil with half or a little more going to the fighters even with all the other revenue streams. Youd think that It would have to do maybe 2.- 3x the amount of US PPVs then the first one to probably just break even and I doubt it could do those #s for the fight to happen
Don't know about all that other stuff and I don't Care! Let the Promoters and Networks focus on all that I don't make any money from it!

With that being said I'm sure ESPN would LOVE to have Wilder vs Fury on their Platform if possible

Well, according to AJ haters, if AJ really wanted the wilder fight to happen, it would.

So therefore, if wilder really wants the rematch to happen, it will. No ifs, buts, or ands.

We can’t call AJ fury impossible yet it is almost as big as wilder fury in the UK and Kahn and Crawford just came to a deal with the same promoters HOwEVeR Kahn isn’t with dazn . So maybe one fight can be salvaged OR arum and the pbc make a groundbreaking announcement and make this fight happen a la Stevenson vs Gvozdyk ( fury is also wilders mando like Gvozdyk was to superman ).

80M seems super high for Tyson Fury.

Fail to see how he can be worth that much in the US.

hes not worth that....its ain inflated number thrown out in a press release...its contingent on making fights with AJ and wilder

I thought Fury didn't care about money? Signing with TR means that he is never going to fight anybody of note.

This is going to ruin the landscape now and there are not a lot of attractive matchups out there.

Wilder is going to have to travel to the UK against Whyte to spike things up.
