Canelo was WBC champ at 154 since 2011-2013. For 2 years industry was asking why Canelo vs Mayweather would happen. Mayweather was already a Champ at 2 weigths SIMULTANEOUSLY during that time. Did Mayweather call out Canelo for the WBC Green Strap from 2011-2013.

You guys get confused when reporters gets statements out of context. Canelo was asked when the Floyd fight would happen, reporters were asking if Canelo would move in weight to make the fight. Canelo said if 152 assured it, he would attempt it. He never said he could make that weight easily. He was already having issues from Cintron, Mosley and Lopez at 154.

TMT Promotions exploited those statements when they already had 2 years of trying to make that fight at 154 for the Green Strap.

Regarding Loma and Rigo. Loma wasn't a medium to big 126 fighter the way Canelo was at 154. Lomachenko ducked a P4P fighter rated higher than him when the smaller guy challenged at catchweight. Floyd ducked Canelo at the 154 limit for 2 years while simultaneously being a 2 Division champ.

Loma didn’t duck , TR waited to make the fight until they could stack the deck in Lomas favour and give Rigo basically no chance. Like Loma hasn’t proved he’ll fight anyone
