Let's see, Wilder agreed to take the flat fee in exchange for the fight to be their next fight. That's what they AGREED to. So if it wasn't in the contract, do the math. Save the mandatory bull****, they never included the language in the contract before the surprise 24 hour enforcement was ever mentioned.

Ortiz was 38 when he fought Wilder Klitschko was 41 coming off a loss in a fight that saw him land 80 some punches in a 12 round fight and he was coming off a 2 year lay off. Ortiz OTOH was still knocking people out cold.

Parker won a vacant WBO title by beating Andy Ruiz. I mean cmon! Andy Ruiz really? I don’t think I need to say more in that topic.

Whyte: 16 fights into his career he fights AJ and gets KOd. He then fights David Allen to a UD and wins a vacant WBC International HW title. Next David Allen fights Ortiz and gets KOd. Couple fights later Whyte fights Chisora who truly hasn’t fought anyone of note and has even lost to marginal competition.

So yes the top 10 is extremely weak. It’s a piss ooor division as compared to WW, MW, SMW
