Still more than I thought it would do and the fight was good so the rematch should do a little better even

Is it?
$20.85m from PPV going from the highest price point of 75.00 (so being generous) between supposedly the most prestigious belt holder and lineal champion, along with all the controversy and good talking.
This fight got outsold by Cotto/Margarito 2 and Martinez vs Chavez Jr. 4 PPVs broke the 1m mark in the past 18 months in the US so the market is still there.
And can I ask you something? If AJ was supposed to earn $50m from a Wilder fight it would need 1.4m buys at $75.00 just to break even right, that's without even paying Wilder yet.
Where are those extra 1.1m buyers coming from if AJ is so unknown and we've already had the biggest fight in the division?
The fact is that Wilder and Fury both got paid significantly less for this fight (the biggest fight in the division apparently) than Joshua did fighting Parker (at least $20m+).
Doesn't sound like a huge success to me. It's on par with some of the worst UFC cards.

On par with some of the worst UFC cards? No, there have been multiple UFC cards in the 100k range this year and some in the low 200s.
Four PPVs broke the 1 million mark the last 18 months. Great, those four PPVs involved Canelo/McGregor/Mayweather. Those are literally the biggest stars in the game right now.
Cotto/Margarito outsold it? WOW!!!!!! Cotto one of the biggest draws of his generation that did over a million PPV buys like four or five times in his career??? That Cotto??? What a shame that a fight involving him out did Wilder/Fury.
So are you going to ignore how much the fight would have generated in the UK and the live gate? If it took place in Vegas as expected, it would have done over $10 million at the gate, would have done close to, if not surpass a million PPV buys in the UK, made ton in international revenues/sponsorships and would have done close a million PPV buys. It didn't need to do 1.4 million to get Joshua his $50 million.
It was expected people like yourself were going to dog the numbers of this fight.
