Well to be fair the guy in the video isn't being entirely honest. 33-0 and a champion but still a prospect???? Yes. Deontay Wilder did not really have an amateur career so you have to consider the long string of low quality opponents to play the same developmental role that they missed out with the amateurs. Its not really all that unheard of. Plenty of other fighters do that especially guys from Latin America. I'll give you an example, Saul Canelo Alvarez currently has a record of 50-1-2 and sits at or near the top of most p4p lists. When he was 33-0 he had still not reached the point where he was fighting monsters like Alfonso Gomez or Matthew Hatton. He didn't fight a legit top level guy until he brought a 41-0 record into the fight with Austin Trout.
So I don't have a problem with them not thinking Wilder was ready when he was only 33-0. His lack of an amateur background made him much less experienced than your typical 33-0 fighter.Last edited by yankees7448; 11-24-2018, 04:14 PM.

We're not even talking about a prime Klitschko.
This is an almost retired Klitschko they're not rushing to fight.
In contrast to Finkel, Hearn pursued Klitsch like a mad dog.
Hearn has been taking huge risks, unlike this Finkel character.

finkel was setting it up and it got derailed...weve been over this and finkel provided his insight and there were old quotes posted that show this
but the reality is...even if we entertain the thought...wlad is retired now....whats ajs excuse for ducking a prime threat that he should be ready to fight? if wilder is such windmilling, bumkilling, hypejob then he should be much easier work than the "legendary" wlad right? lol....so why is AJ ducking a prime WBC champ who wants to fight him right now?
wlad is retired lol
