If he keeps selling over 12,000 seats like his last fight he can. Plus he can make much more than that on PPV. With the Fox and New Showtime deal Haymon has a bigger budget and much more money to burn. Cawfords officially purse was 1.5 but he gets money on the back end like Spence does. Every PBC fighters brags about getting a second check for Haymon.

It won't let me post the article but just google Spence's purse. He doesn't need Crawford either and he has better options.

“I am told Haymon has promised him like $3.5M for his next fight, which is a lot of money for him to turn down and nowhere near what anyone else was offering him for a fight,?said Rafael in explaining why Spence isn’t signing with another promoter right now.
Well good move by Spence too! Can't hate on him for going after the money. After all, this is prize fighting and fighters want that prize!

Arum and Haymon have worked together. Errol can focus on THAT possibility rather than simply dissing Crawford's resume.

This is a big fight on my wish list.
Yeah I agree it would be a fight I would be very interested to watch if it does get made, hopefully politics doesnt get in the way and were left with years waiting for a fight to 'marinate' (I really hate when people say that).

Indongo garbage. Beating him he was rewarded as the undisputed champion of 140. Prograis eat him months later. What was his reward F#uck all.

Crawford beat up Jeff Horn who let’s be honest didn’t even beat An old Pacquiao. An welterweight can beat Jeff so a fighter as skilful as Crawford is a bloody cake walk and it was. I m not questioning Crawford’s ability but I am questioning most of his opponents. Not his fault but don’t shoot me if I’m not overwhelmed .

Let's face the facts and the truth. Erroll is still pretty much green at this stage of his career while Mikey is a seasoned and surgical fighter at this stage of his career.

Mikey is well aware of this that's why he is challenging the naturally larger and stronger Spence rather Lomachenko because he perceives Erroll as the easiest challenge.
That is correct. Spence has fought nobody near the caliber of competition Loma and Garcia fought, therefore he indeed is willing to take the fight with Spence who is a natural middleweight fighting at 147

I will agree with Spence. Spence beats Crawford without too much difficulty. Crawford is great. Spence is better than great.

                  Based on what standard precisely?

The standard of my clueless, never been in a boxing ring, boxing fanatic, watcher of fights for 37 years. So really, I got nothing.

he's basically comparing the level of competition to which they have fought at. if we're talking about the 147 division, I've got to go with Spence resume, having with the likes of Brook, Peterson etc.. it's like he's saying that Bud should not be his rival @ welterweight because he fought nobody with Jeff Horny.
At 140, did Bud fight the following during his short stay:
                      Omar Figeroua
                      Regis Prograis
                      Maurice Herrara
                      Adrian Granados/Broner
                      Imir Imam.
No, he went for paper champs, that TR paid to give him those belts .
                      Stop the madness.
