He has his work against him. Spence is wider, stronger and the bigger puncher. Also, Spence can fight at short range and is a vicious body puncher. This could be Khan vs Canelo all over again.

I hate to say it because I like Mikey. He is a nice guy and all and so is Spence but he is going to lose this fight. Hopefully, he's going to get stopped because if he takes a prolong beating it could very well shave many years off his career and ruin it.

Try to downplay Postol's boxing if you want but at his best he is better than Lipinets a guy Garcia struggled with. He got hit a lot to the head and body vs Lipinets. Lipinets is the reason he moved back down talking how he is disadvantaged at 140. He couldn't hurt Lipinets and took more punishment than he was accustomed. Imagine Garcia fighting a guy with a reach advantage like Easter but this guy can throw all the different punches well, throws hard with sneaky shots to the body, is naturally bigger, and has shown he can stop and hurt guys a lot larger than Mikey. That's a fight with Crawford and its a fight he cant win.
I'm just being honest. I like to judge guys on what they do in the ring.
Crawford is a beast, but guess what? So is Mikey.
Guys like them make adjustments at that level. We saw Mikey fight a style last night that was very unnatural for him and was still just as dominate. I don't think I've ever seen him lose more than 3 rounds in any fight.
I'm not saying he'd beat Crawford but this idea that he has no chance is an exaggeration.

If Mikey can move to 140 and beat the best there who I know are a lot bigger than him naturally(Prograis, Taylor, Ramirez) I will give him a lot of props. He needs to leave 147 alone its too big a jump especially against guys who are big plus skilled like Spence, Thurman, and Crawford.
"Let them young boys fight!"
That's how I feel about it. We're talking about elite guys here. They know the risks.

I wanted Garcia to stay at 140 and start belt collecting. Arum/Top Rank will not let him fight Loma or Ramirez(at 140) and at this point a fight with Linares is pointless.

Crawford and Errol are the guys who have his number imo. Everybody else can be had.

If Mikey goes up to fight Spence to me he will earn my respect win , lose or draw !! I also believe if he can handle Spence power he will have a great chance of winning cause he is more skilled then Errol . Like I said if he can take Spence Assault early in the fight , I can see Mikey picking him apart in the mid and later rounds . Last night MG showed the world what a complete boxer he is compared to the other top guys at 147 . Levels above Porter , KT and DG . I couldn't found a weakness last night in Mikey s game . The guy can do everything including taking away his opponents strengthen s and exploiting his weakness . I think he well shock alot of people in December . He obviously sees holes in Spence's game that we don't know about for him to take such a risky fight . One thing I can think of is Spence is like M Tyson his offensive is his defense . He doesn't know how to fight on the back foot or backing up . For Mikey to engage in this type of fight he needs to handle Spence best shots . Like GGG Spence never fought going backwards he always applys the pressure on his opponents . If Spence wins this fight and doesn't get the other Top guys at 147 then he needs to show us fans his greatness and move up to fight 154 champ .

Mikey is on his way out...
What's he got to lose going up and losing to Spence? It looks as though he's made some good investments, has a nice family, is sensible enough to find work after boxing, and he's in the history books next to JMM and Pacquiao winning titles from 126 thru 140. It was too early for my liking, but it was nice while it lasted.

pacquiao and Lomachencko are the fights mikey should be trying to get. they are high profile and lower risk than Errol.
No doubt in my mind, Spence is gonna stop him, but I'll be rooting for mikey that night. he is chasing greatness and I respect that.
