This is an interesting discussion. This whole argument started because AJ got carried away in an interview and said 'yeah if it's worth $100M then give me $50 and I'll take it'. He was trying to make a point. Wilder's team somehow got the backing and came up with a miracle $50M offer. Once they did, AJ and his team quickly realized that they ***ed up. Not because they're ducking or whatever the idiots will say, but because it would a very dumb business decision for them to take that. AJ makes $20-30M easy by himself. It's very much not worth it to him to give up everything and be at Wilder's whim. It would be a very dumb decision on AJ's part to take that offer.
I'm still reallllllllllly curious to see where Wilder got that backing from. Dude never made close to $10M before, yet he somehow found $50M? Imagine if Golovkin told Canelo "hey come to Kazakhstan I'll give you $50M". Wouldn't you wonder who the sponsor is?
