Hope you understand why he doesn't have much leverage.
He has never been on PPV, AJ is presenting him with such opportunity.
Whyte would have giving him PPV opportunity as well.
Also, Yes you make a very valid point too. AJ does have more leverage than Wilder and holds more cards as well. Therefore, he deserves to get the A side treatment but at the same time he has to be reasonable. He has to show Deontay Wilder a certain amount of decorum and respect for being the WBC champion and a titleholder which he is not doing.
You don't low ball a champion with a flat-fee offer with no percentage of the purse split or any upside from the live gate or pay per view sales. That was wrong and unethical and makes me believe that they didn't want the fight to begin with for he is the WBC champion for crying out loud.
Their offer was tantamount to rudeness, arrogance and disdain but because of us fans Wilder accepted it in order to give us the fight that we wanted to see. What I believe would be fair is a two fight deal; With the first being in the U.K and a 60/40 split of the purse in the favor of Anthony Joshua since he is the bigger box office draw.
If those terms are not agreed to then I believe that there should be no fight.

That said, if Tony wants to keep running his mouth for his boss, maybe Wilder should just say "I'll fight Tony Bellew" for that "guaranteed 5m for anyone you want to fight" from Eddie Hearn.
Or was that deal for anyone not in Eddie's stable?

There’s nothing about AJ’s record that suggest he ducks a challenge even his mando isn’t a soft touch. The other guy though, different story entirely.
So when I look at how this is all playing out, I’m inclined to believe the guy that’s been on a steady upward trajectory since his 13th fight, not someone with corpses for 39 of his 41 outings (Stiverne might as well have been carried in sleeping for the second fight).
I'd argue that AJ didn't have a test until he fought Dillian Whyte. Gary Cornish and Kelvin Johnson would be considered awful names if they were on Wilder's resume.

Since he sucks at boxing and nobody even knows this guy except the British drunks, he should change his profession to a stand up Comedian, because he is very hilarious, BUM!!!!!

Wilder has been totally mismanaged. Best thing he could do is to sign with Hearn asap so he can make some money.
Dude's being lied to and ripped off by his massive team of hangers on promoters.
Sooner or later he will have to fight some live opponents, Ortiz aside he has built a legacy of nobodies - and even old man Ortiz nearly ended him lol.
If he signs with Hearn, Eddie will get him some good fights and great money - and treat him fairly. If he could manage to beat either Bellew or Fury, before getting smashed by AJ, he'd be a rich man and at least people could say he tried to fight one or two decent ones.
Feel sorry for Wilder, but his padded record should means he gets one good payday - even if he does have to share it with about 5 different promoters.

If he never fights AJ at all he is still going to be a champion as long as he holds that Green belt. Therefore, he doesn't need AJ or this fight because he is not doing this for the money because he got money. He is a millionaire. He may not have as much as AJ but he still has it. He just wants to become undisputed. It's his gift to boxing fans. He is doing this for us. That's why he apologized because he felt AJ let the fight fans down.
On the other hand, Alexander Pedvetkin is a B-side because he is titleless and a contender. He has absolutely no leverage at all. He is coming to the bargaining table empty handed but on the other hand Deontay is coming to the bargaining table with the Green belt in his hand. That makes a huge difference. Both AJ and Wilder have something that the other want.
Fook me that's some sentimental shiiite right there.
Do you also believe there were 2 of each dinosaur on Noah's Ark?
You yanks are a funny lot.
